A little optional note for those that find this mix:

I recently realized I haven't released a proper 'mixed' set in years - mostly due to having a lack of easy access to equipment & studio spaces over the last 4 years + also just zero m0tivation to even DJ sometimes.

I don't record my live sets because I don't know, it feels like those experiences should be for that moment.  I am loving playing music again +  inspired = decided to record something close to how I've been feeling. 

Thought I'd make a little thing of hints of what I play. Kicked back on a solo 2-hour session in a Pirate Studio thing today, vibing with those light changes, sipping on coconut water, and munching a meal deal. 

There are lots of little blends that might not make sense - I considered editing them but decided to leave it raw because I was probs having fun messing around (:

i was asked to play a chill opening set and this is what i came thru with. listening back to this mix actually brings me back a bit to the beginnings of how & why i got into djing in the first place. it feels like a more classic style where you can really hear the layering and what's going on. a bit more straight up and simple.

I have owned two turntables and a mixer since 1991 and have a vast vinyl collection stretching back to the early 80's. My 1st dabble in producing got 
 me a release on Global Music Records with Audio Acid Ride .(Available now from Beatport itunes Amazon,Spotify ect).I have also been signed to Cadillac records with a new e.p available October 2017 and two singles due out on Record Union mid December 2017.
I was lucky enough to experience the early UK acid house and rave scene in warehouses, fields and big tops before the music split off into different genres. House music has always been the root for me but my musical taste is varied through the whole dance scene. 
My 1st professional dj gig was in the  early 90,s  and went on to Dj and promote my own nights at Club Woodside Welham Green called Cupid Stunts .
 In summer 1994 I was off to Malia Greece with my records and managed to get a gig in a bar on the back of a mixtape . That soon led into a set at Starlight Club in which I played every night while there , same thing in 1995 and 96. I then worked in Faliraki Rhodes full time as a Dj in all the bars, pools, beach parties and clubs in 1997 and 98. Two years of mayhem .
Back in London I was resident Dj for Spoilt For Choice an offshoot of garage and house  big boys Pure Silk for 3 years .
A long stint locally in bars and clubs in and around St Albans was the score for 2000 onwards .
 I now currently co promote and Dj at our own night called "Olds Cool" where we play the very best classics across all genres .
