“a quarter first” is a new series by Bruno Jordani, exploring raw and improvised sound. Each episode is a snapshot of a moment — live-recorded, imperfect, and deeply personal.

Episode 01, titled: “modular retention” was born during a sunny Saturday afternoon in the studio. Built with modular synths and instinctive sequencing, it balances minimal groove with experimental textures.

This is not a DJ set. Not a track. It’s something in between — techno in its most honest form

Just got a good deal on a Korg SQ-64 sequencer, so I hooked it up to my Korg Arp 2600 M, and  this happened! I opted for a short "plucky" sound for one of the sequences, hence the word Plucking in the song title. ;-)

Bruno Jordani is an independent innovative Electronic Music Producer and aspiring Dj known for his experimental approach, blending distorted sound design, industrial atmospheres, and infectious grooves. 
His productions move between dark, raw intensity and unexpected upbeat shifts, fusing elements from various genres to create a unique sonic identity. 

How Bruno approaches his musical journey could be better understood by mentioning Pier Paolo Pasolini: “ I started writing poetry when I was 6 years old, never stopped and never asked why I was doing it, the only meaning was the existential one, the habit of expressing myself ”.

William Elliott makes experimental synthesizer-based music under a number of aliases, including Phantom Oscillator, GASGIANTS, Interferenzmaschine, and Occam's Raygun. His uncompromising improvisational style has led him to embrace hardware synths such as the iconic Soma Laboratory Lyra-8 and Eurorack modular synths among others.
