Percussive club meets Arabic folk signatures, @moktarmoktar takes us on a sonic journey through his dual realities

"I aimed to blend my cultural roots, as always, and my passion for electronic music — creating a musical journey that resonates with contemporary expression using soundscapes and traditional percussive sounds. I wanted to take things to a dark room in a club at 3:AM with heavy beats, driving basslines, and sonic Arabic sounds. Each track on my mix is an insight of what’s been inspiring me with my production and ongoing progression of my musical journey.”

Jawad Le Houseur

Ya Hu is a DJ from Ramallah-Jerusalem. She mixes industrial sounds, techno, and melodies of Arabic experimental music and influence. She is a member of the UNION Collective; a group of DJs that started a series of nights in Ramallah and has taken over nights in venues including Phonox, Fabric, and Katerblau. She also cofounded FANA’ Collective aimed at deconstructing everyday knowledge and art production and finding an outing from otherwise limited spaces. 

"I’m sharing with you an intimate mix of Arabic experimental music. Time has seemed static for the past couple of months, and the disruption - never ending. I hope you enjoy some tracks and sounds that truly resonate in my everyday emotions and potentially in our collective memory."

Emerging on the UK scene as a resident for Bath and London based party series Origins Sound, and having shared the stage with icons such as Mall Grab, DJ Boring, Sarah Story and Salute, Vincent’s Older Sister is now on a mission to charm Copenhagen with her infectious rhythm and energy.
Thanks to her Danish/Argentinian roots, and her upbringing in the land of Bass & Garage, her sets are a testament to a rich blend of cultural influences, with a focus on punchy basslines, diverse percussive patterns, groovy breaks and hard-hitting house.

𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗫
«For this mix, I kicked things off with some slower, bongo drum-infused tracks to set the mood before gradually ramping up the BPM into a more percussive bass style set because, honestly, I can't get enough of percussive bass. 
The mix is diverse, also featuring some nice touches of Latin-influenced music that weave throughout the set.
I was really happy to get to play two of my favourite tracks at the moment: "All Like That" by Moktar and "Vera" by Darama. Both are sick artists and are doing a very cool job of incorporating Arabic and South Asian instrumentals into their tracks. Have a listen with some friends if you want a little boogie or a boost of energy!»

Tiella Sound is the reflection of Luca Bigote’s "fluid" music vision, where genres blend and boundaries fade away. Launched in 2019, the project encompasses a radio show, mix series, independent record label, and a series of talks.

Luca Bigote is an Italian DJ and music curator with wide tastes across the music spectrum.
His sets are immersive journeys blending rarefied Soft Electronica, floating Downtempo beats, warm Organic Grooves and a rich array of House and Techno nuances. This versatile approach has led him to share  stages with influential artists such as Tornado Wallace, Fantastic Man, Tiger & Woods, Rahaan, and Patrice Scott among others. Remarkably, he delivered a highly acclaimed six-hour set at Buttons party in Berlin, one of the most iconic events within  the city’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene.
Over the years, he has been invited to contribute to many radios and podcast channels from all over the world, including United We Stream (DE), HÖR (DE), Kiosk Radio (BE), Radio Raheem (IT), Rocket Radio (IT), Linea (IT), Radio Panini (DK), Rhythmic Culture (NL), Amok Radio (MK) to name a few.
Since 2020, he has also been crafting ambient introspective soundscapes under his experimental alias, Nostalgia Del Futuro, expression of his interest for non-club oriented music.
In the past, he curated the ‘ritmo’ nights at Klunkerkranich in Berlin, hosted ‘FMUD’ summer parties in his hometown Gaeta (IT), and collaborated with renowned record stores such as OYE Records and Sound Metaphors.

Jade Removille (b. 1995, Paris, FR) is a multi-faceted individual with a diverse cultural background, stemming from her French father and French mother with roots in Haiti. As a DJ, creative director and writer, Jade has carved her niche in the realms of music, arts and fashion with experience working for renowned brands such as Bottega Veneta.
Currently based in Milan, Jade is the Creative Director, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of @nrmagazine an independent bi-annual print publication that she established in 2016 in London, UK. NR stands as a testament to Jade's commitment to embracing art, culture, design, cinema and music, producing compelling stories that transcend both print and digital platforms and providing in print and online, an archive of features and conversations between emerging and established  creatives with a focus on empowering voices. Through the exploration of  themes that transcend boundaries, challenge norms, and inspire change, NR aims to elevate the cultural conversation and celebrate the beauty of creativity in all its forms.
In addition to her extensive work in the arts and fashion industry, Jade Removille holds a study background in law and spatial design, further enriching her interdisciplinary approach to creativity. Her legal and design expertise adds a unique layer to her projects, allowing her to navigate complex intersections between aesthetics and regulatory frameworks.
Jade's DJ pursuits showcase her passion for a diverse range of electronic music genres, particularly Deep House and Techno. Her sets are a fusion of Electro, Detroit Techno, and Melodic House Trance, reflecting a unique and eclectic musical taste. Jade has played DJ sets in clubs in Milan as well as aired on renowned radios such as Dublab, HÖR, Radio 8000, Radio Raheem, Kiosk Radio and Hotel Radio Paris. Beyond her professional endeavours, Jade Removille continues to be a driving force in shaping the intersection of creativity and culture in the global landscape.
