What a night to remember 💫 — our first-ever Labyrinth HFX roadshow at Tide & Boar in Moncton was something truly special. Huge thanks to everyone who came out and filled the room with so much energy, warmth, and love. Seeing the Moncton community come alive on the dancefloor was pure joy — it felt like the start of something beautiful.

We were fortunate to share the stage with an amazing lineup:  Andy Klajman who opened the night with a deep, progressive journey that set the tone perfectly; @djmissbutler, who followed with an explosive, high-energy set that lit up the room; then Basem and I stepping up together for our first-ever B2B set, building a groove of Afro, melodic, and progressive sounds designed to connect hearts and move bodies; and finally, my brothers @Maqamm, who closed the night with their signature hypnotic flow and rhythmic drive that took us all home.

This set is a mix of  Melodic House & Techno and Afro House  — rich in emotion, rhythm, and soul. Each track was chosen to build tension, release, and connection — a journey from groove to transcendence.

Tāndāv Musicā, the brainchild of Halifax DJ Jay Vyas, emerges from the scenic shores of Nova Scotia. With a deep-rooted love for electronic house music that began in his teens, Jay explores a diverse range of genres, including melodic, organic, afro, Indo-house, and techno, infused with influences from Sufi, Indian classical, and Bollywood music.

Inspired by his South Asian heritage and a passion for cultural fusion, Jay's music transcends genre boundaries, weaving expansive textures and hypnotic rhythms that evoke both liberation and connection on the dance floor. His artistic vision, shaped by the cycles of creation, preservation, and dissolution, celebrates the timeless power of dance and music.

Jay has made a significant mark on the Atlantic Canada festival circuit, performing at events such as Future Forest and Electric Pines, and opening for Vibrancy Festival, which featured industry icons like Danny Tenaglia, Chloe Anderson, Conducta, Chloe Robinson, and Maya Jane Coles. As the founder and driving force behind Labyrinth HFX, he continues to spotlight local talent, curating unforgettable experiences for Halifax’s growing electronic music community.
