This song is the true-life sequel to Ya S Toboy (I Am With You)—a continuation of the journey of the wounded young child who once whispered “I am with you” to his mother as bombs fell around them.

First Steps Forever, the sixth song in A Mother's Journey, was about that magical moment when a mother watches her baby take their first steps—tiny, wobbly steps toward independence. It’s a moment filled with joy, pride, and the overwhelming realization that her baby is growing up.

Now, we move on to the seventh song, First Day Blues. This song takes us to the next big stage of life, a few years later, when the little girl is off to preschool. It’s a moment where the tears of both mother and daughter collide—the mother’s tears of pride, fear, and love as she watches her child take her first step into the world outside their home. It’s bittersweet, filled with both joy and sorrow, as a mother lets go, just a little.
