The Black Heart Blues

Dick Waterman (1935-2024) was a legendary promotor, manager, photographer and writer who’s importance in the world of blues music can’t be overstated. In the 1960s, he was a driving force in reviving the careers of blues masters including Mississippi John Hurt, Bukka White, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Skip James, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Son House (as depicted in the 2016 documentary Two Trains Runnin’). He was also Bonnie Raitt’s first manager and was instrumental in getting her career off the ground. Waterman’s photographs count among the most iconic blues photographs. A selection of his works were collected in the 2003 photography book Between Midnight and Day: The Last Unpublished Blues Archive. In 2019, Tammy L. Turner’s biography Dick Waterman: A Life in Blues was published by the University Press of Mississippi. He is a member of the Blues Hall of Fame. My mission is to help people grow closer to God with every breath and step I take. I gave my life to Christ at an early age and have grown closer through the years, spurred on by the study of the Bible, my church family, and the Chrysalis and Walk to Emmaus Communities. I accepted the call to full -time ministry as a pastor in 1999 and have served 4 different churches in Georgia. Music, preaching, and teaching are the heart of my ministry.

Outside of the pulpit, I enjoy many hobbies that help me blow off steam.  These include martial arts, woodworking, blacksmithing, gardening, cooking, and being creative.  I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none.  My philosophy is use what you have, do it yourself if you can, learn something in the process, and have lots of fun.  This channel is a place to share it all with you.

Lee Cee is a Scottish vinyl-only DJ based in Paisley. She began collecting records in 1997 and later explored her father's techno collection, which significantly influenced her musical style. 

Her sets are meticulously curated journeys through the essence of underground culture, showcasing a diverse range of tastes, particularly in Techno, Acid, and Electro. In 2002, she started her journey in the underground free party scene, performing at her hometown’s legendary Club 69, which unveiled the depths of underground sound and shaped her into a standout force in the music scene.

Throughout her career, Lee has supported notable artists such as DJ Pierre, The Exaltics, Radioactive Man, Co-Accused, Jerome Hill, Facets, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Nightwave, and Maria Chavez. Since 2019, she has also been a resident DJ on Tech-Know Radio, part of Glasgow’s Groove City Radio. Additionally, she is one-half of the turntablist duo, The Paisley Tapes.

Lee Cee’s sets are a testament to her dedication to the underground, delivered with unparalleled precision.
