With a base of surrealist string soundscapes, "Xtent" explores the passing of time and relationship to tactile spatial sensation, weaving together found sounds, gritty noise, and sonic storytelling.

I'm twelve years old and I've started learning the saxophone. It's fun and difficult. My favorite is jamming with my mom. Sometimes I get frustrated but I keep trying. I like recording our jams on mom's phone so we decided to start a music blog (that's me clapping a beat for mom at the start). This jam was fun and maybe you'll like it too so here it is. I hope you like it.

Fresh off the heels of his high-octane “JUST LIKE THAT” released on angels, HEDO HYDR8 returns with a no-holds-barred five-track statement: WERKSHOP, out 24th September via Mexican imprint, Terminal.

From the first drop, WERKSHOP goes straight into overdrive—fusing the rough-edged spirit of underground rave culture with the raw muscle of power house. On this EP, HEDO HYDR8 got his hands on 70s laboratory sound equipment. He uses vintage and analog tools like filters, oscillators, and amplifiers to conjure up five instances of contemporary and fierce dancefloor energy.

The release, following HEDO HYDR8's first China tour, further cements his place at the intersection of electronic experimentation and dancefloor urgency. With a discography that spans angels, Juicy Gang Records (with DJ SPIT), XXIII (with Muskila), and sets aired on Rinse FM, NTS (ZULI), and Peder Mannerfelt’s mix series, HYDR8’s ever-shifting approach continues to resonate on an international scale.

∎ Under the alias Margos is the Parisian Copenhagen-based sound artist Isidore De Souza. He has earlier released tracks for compilations on the acclaimed Copenhagen-based experimental label Janushoved and has performed at Copenhagen hubs such as Mayhem, Den Anden Side and Basement.

∎ End of greatness is the debut album by Margos, the alias of Paris-born, Copenhagen-based sound artist Isidore De Souza. Borrowing its title from a cosmological term describing the outer limits of human observational scale, the album explores dissolution, transformation, and emotional distance - a universe folding in on itself.

∎ The album took shape during a period of profound solitude. Composed in the aftermath of the COVID-19 lockdowns, End of greatness emerged while Margos was living alone in a new country, navigating the disorientation of distance, displacement, and existential uncertainty. That quiet rupture - of routines, of proximity, of purpose - seeps into the music as both presence and absence. The work becomes a way of listening inward, of mapping emotional terrain in a time when the outer world feels suspended.

∎ Across thirteen compositions, End of greatness traverses shapeshifting electronic terrain. Tracks resample themselves into abstraction; sonic landscapes spiral outward before collapsing. Each piece begins as one thing and becomes another—like a memory retold too many times. The music is deeply textured, full of emotional residue: intimate, vast, and strangely tender.

[Swine Premiere] Margos - Couronement part 1 (Rhizome)

SWINE PREMIERE ☛ Slovak artist Lénok's new single from the upcoming album "Langue of Tongue" via Slovak label ☛ @mappaeditions

✤ Lénok’s "Langue of Tongue" is a descent. An unhinged pinballing down a realm of incomprehension and lunacy, a darkly psychedelic ego-death-spiral into a world of pure, deranged disquiet. It is, and this cannot be emphasised enough, a truly fucked up place. The message is clear: this is less album than zone.

✤ There's no comfort to be found here. It’s like the inner monologue of some insectile, cyborgian abomination, something unfeeling and hostile, something that could only thrive in a mirror world that perverts light and sullies warmth. It's a netherworld: tracks jut out and stab like cold, craggy wastelandscapes, tangled meshworks of alienic transmissions bleed out into deformed knots of gurgling white noise, lacerations of sound roil and heave and claw as if imprisoned within oppressive waveforms. Lénok is best in this - creating her totally unique and mesmerizing sound-world.

✤ "Langue of Tongue" is recommended for the curious and advanced listener. This is music for whatever the opposite of escapism is — it’s REAL twisted. But sometimes morbid fascination takes hold. Sometimes you lift the rock, because you can’t help it, and you observe the squirming mess of life it plays host to. What you experience may not be pleasant, but you might just struggle to tear yourself away.

৲ After 2024’s "EZMVA" album, and this year’s expansive 136-minute celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Electronic Music and Media Arts program in Pécs — "EzmBA 15", released on programme head Eszelős Meszelős’s dióbél —, @111family opens a new chapter with a compilation called "EZMVA2". 

৲ The 17-track collection deepens our shared vocabulary with new faces and fresh voices; slightly less dark and a touch more introspective than the previous iteration, the album balances an equal number of bold bangers and form-free experimental pieces. The result is an hour-long, colorful snapshot of a scene forever in motion.

৲ This single, "Metal Branch" by young Budapest/Pécs-based producer Vava is an incredible, playful collage of tasty sounds. It sounds like a club banger was a person and went to an Island for vacation. Eerie, hypnotic, and cartoonish.

The full compilation will be released on October 16.

✱ SWINE PREMIERE - - @riziomaurizio new EP for - - @all-centre-504822953 label ✱

One of our favorite labels, All Centre, is back with a new project. This time, they welcome Helsinki-based producer Rizio to the roster for his debut on the label. After a breakout 2024 with his first EP on No Snakes and a recent standout appearance on YUKU’s Fresh Faces compilation, Rizio continues to refine his intricate, bass-heavy sound on the Hyperobject EP. Rizio merges geometric rhythms, warped textures, and sub-aquatic bass with vaporous tonal movements.

Dubbed-out bass hits enter the mix as the track strikes a perfect balance between a heady atmosphere and a physical dancefloor cut.
