Inspired by the complexity and beauty of human nature, by the emotions and experiences that shape our lives, I composed the piece "The Winding Voices." Every note and every chord in this piece is meant to reflect a part of our personal journey, full of ups and downs, moments of tranquillity, and moments of intensity.

This melody is an exploration of the multiple facets of the human being. By intertwining elements of rock, metal, and soundtrack, with Oriental and Celtic folk, I aimed to create a soundscape that takes you through a wide range of emotions. From the energetic and powerful beginnings, symbolizing enthusiasm and passion, to the calmer and more introspective moments that evoke reflection and melancholy, each segment of the piece is designed to guide you on a musical journey.

I hope this melody touches your hearts and inspires you, as it inspired me during the creation process. May each listening be a new discovery, a deeper connection with yourselves and with those around you.

"Whispers of the East" is a composition that blends tradition and modernity into a captivating sonic story, designed to transport you through diverse cultural landscapes and profound emotions.

The melody begins with the evocative sound of a Romanian caval, wistfully singing with authentic melancholy, accompanied by the mysterious tones of a bagpipe, all supported by rich African percussion, generated by tribal drums and tabla (an Indian pair of drums). This deep introduction sets the stage for a musical experience where the ancestral meets the contemporary.

As the piece progresses, the music becomes more introspective and contemplative, reflecting a soul filled with suffering and pain. This "dark mood" is not accidental; it speaks of inner struggles, of the pain and melancholy that sometimes weave through our lives. The instruments intertwine to create a dense, emotionally charged atmosphere that challenges you to look within yourself.

In the end, the ethereal sounds of the handpan join in, bringing a note of peace and balance. This is the culmination of the journey, the moment when all the emotions and cultural influences unite in a harmonious conclusion.

Whispers Of The East

ENVISION was commissioned by the Galax Baroque String quartet as part of their finale concert for the 2007-08 “Music that Cooks” concert season, which raises funds for the First Congressional Presbyterian Church’s food program for the homeless community in Oakland, CA. The title comes from how I ‘envisioned’ using a musical structure borrowed from Baroque Music, that of the Chaconne. The Chaconne is usually a bass line or harmonic progression that repeats again and again throughout a piece. Since I had been analyzing some of Bach’s Chaconne with my students, I took the opportunity to do my contemporary ‘envision’ of what one can do with a chaconne. From the start, one will hear in ENVISION the strings playing the chord progression I use. However, as the piece progresses, it takes a few ‘side-turns’ as the music explores only segments of the chord progression, or only one of the chords. This is all done through the prism of the opening melodic structure, which, like the harmony, recurs again and again, but in altered forms not traditionally associated with Baroque music.

ENVISION also refers to the license I give the players in choosing much of the articulations of the piece. As Early Music players are so expert in interpretation and realization of scores that often have minimal or no dynamics or articulations I let Galax ‘envision’ how they felt the piece could be played through their musical decisions in the shaping of the phrasing and texture. For me, this is one of the most satisfying aspects of writing for such instruments and such players. I wish to especially thank Roy Whelden, composer and gambist and founder of the Galax, for his ‘envisioning’ of my ability to write for his ensemble. Special thanks also goes to Galax musicians David Wilson, Joseph Edelberg, and David Morris. Without their input and high level of musicality this piece would not have the refinement and grace I feel it now has. For all their work, I am eternally grateful.

"The Story of Aidan" is a song that captures the deep, mystical connection between life and nature. For me, this piece speaks to the cyclical beauty of existence, much like the ocean itself, constantly in motion, yet always at peace. My voice blends with Emily Johnson’s in a way that feels natural, almost like two currents coming together, each bringing its own strength and depth. Together, we wanted to create an atmosphere that transports you to a space where every note and every sound speaks to the eternal rhythm of life and our profound love for the natural world.

The cello, guitar, and piano form a rich, organic foundation, almost like the earth itself: solid, grounding, and alive. These instruments are blended together with our voices, which complement and enhance one another throughout the song, much like how the ocean meets the shore in perfect harmony. My background as a marine biologist has taught me to appreciate the quiet, unspoken language of nature, and I wanted that same serenity and reflection to shine through in this song.

This song is our way of sharing that quiet, yet powerful harmony between nature and the soul.

My very first time touching piano keys EVER - completely improvised. This piece 'Novela' emerged naturally as I explored the instrument for the first time.

Novela

Nibriell is the pseudonym under which I sign my musical and literary works. I was born in Romania, a beautiful country in Eastern Europe, but I also live in the UK. For personal reasons and symbolism, the pseudonym is inspired by the names Saint Nicholas (Ni) and Archangel Gabriel (briell). 

     As for my musical activity, I do not define myself through traditional terms such as artist, musician, or composer, but rather as a music creator. This term is much more suitable for my musical activity. I have only one regret: not being born with the talent to sing or possess a musical voice. 

     However, my passions for music and literature have been cultivated with interest throughout my life. With the advent of AI in our lives, it has been very successful in producing high-quality vocalizations, which instantly encouraged me to start creating melodies. 

     Therefore, in my creative workshop, DAW software, music editing, and AI technology are the tools through which I express my vision. By using AI to generate the distinctive voice of my pieces and recreate the sounds specific to traditional or archaic instruments, I bring to life the stories I present to you. 

     My entire creation, from one end to the other, tries to tell a story, whatever it may be. From myths and legends worldwide to stories I create, they are dressed in melodies and harmonies that exceed language and culture, touching a universal chord of human emotion. With each composition, my goal is to open a window to imaginary worlds, inviting the listener to explore ancestral myths, personal narratives, or those already existing worldwide. 

     Using a mix of modern sounds and traditional elements, I aim to create a bridge between the past and the present, between the real and the fantastic, offering the listener an auditory experience and an emotional and spiritual journey.

     So, Nibriell is the pseudonym that unites all these creative sides and expresses the desire to create and the belief that art, in all its forms, is a vehicle for understanding, compassion, and connection among people, regardless of their origins or borders. This is the path I have chosen to follow, one in which every note and word contributes to creating a more extensive work of all humanity, an ode to the beauty and complexity of life.

     Although AI plays an essential and decisive role in my work, it does not define its direction or quality at all. I entirely write the texts and melodic lines, and the voice generated by it is the product of my strict vision and supervision.

I am a marine biologist and explorer from Norway. My world is beneath the waves, where I study, document, and protect marine life. When I'm not diving or on an expedition, I turn to music to reflect and recharge. From soothing ambient sounds to the raw energy of instrumental tracks, music captures the beauty and depth of the ocean I call home, inspiring conservation and adventure.

Embark on a cinematic journey with Namasthay, a visionary artist whose eclectic life is as diverse and vibrant as his music. 
"Improvised, imperfect, eternal: music as memory". Our story begins with a young Namasthay carving pristine paths through snow, collaborating with snowboarding legend Axel Pauporté, epitomizing the free spirit that defines his artistic voyage, filming home videos and pranks as precursor to CKY and Jackass with friends.

Transitioning from adrenaline-fueled slopes to electrifying riffs, Namasthay co-founded a punk-rock ensemble, occasionally joined by bassist and Red Bull daredevil Cedric Dumont. Although the band remained somehow nameless, their music resonated deeply within the underground scene.

A serendipitous encounter on a motor skateboard caught the attention of a producer, propelling Namasthay into the limelight as a symbol of extreme sports in Brussels on RTL TV, and to it's first CyberCafé. Armed with a diploma, he immersed himself in the throbbing pulse of the CyberTheatre and Nirvanet's underground music realms, legendary early dark web website twice awarded by UNESCO as "best of the web", where encounters with Howie B and Laurent Garnier fueled his creative fervor, and Björk’s innovative essence left a lasting impression, thru HowieB.

Deepening his sonic exploration, Namasthay drew inspiration from his brother Alex's Ninja Tune collection, diving into breaks and beats that ignited his artistic expression. His distinct flair was spotlighted in hip-hop videos by A6000 and Akro (Universal), portraying him as a unique bridge between authoritative figures and street culture in 1030 Brussels.

The narrative threads through his artistic evolution—from local sensation to an accomplished music arranger collaborating with talents like Piccaya, fostering a partnership steeped in musical synergy. The ethereal and emotive soundscapes of Boards of Canada backdrop his growth, steering him from underground acclaim to a pioneer of spontaneous music creation under his enduring DeviantArt alias, Namasthay.

Launching as Namasthay, he spearheads a new wave of Emo-Spontaneity, where every note is improvised, every song sung for the first time, encapsulating the pure essence of spontaneous creation. This approach heralds a movement where perfection resides in the inception of each musical act.

Touching heavens with Victory in his 32nd album in less than a year, his AI algorithm perceives and recognizes possible world peace starting 2027. The 25th of December 2024 he publishes his 33rd album, Singularity - anniversary of a mere one year of creation, as he started composing albums on Christmas Eve 2023...
