It is unfinished.  

At the time of its composition, Ж was struggling with an eating disorder, regularly refraining from eating for days at a time. This went on for years.

A lot of pain was poured into this piece surrounding the frustrations of their condition. It was removed from the opera after completion because the emotion which had been grafted onto the music were too traumatic for Ж to hear.

The opera's original tracklist is still absent of a seventh piece.

It's original name was x`xoor`l`vi soor`l rei`x, now simply "soor`l".

North African music receives very little coverage in the United States. There are no high-profile mixes of recent Tunisian underground dance music from hip DJs, and no young Algerian musicians with major distribution deals in the U.S. So we decided to explore what exactly is going on in this part of the world. We trace the origins of some of the region’s most interesting current music to the banlieues of Paris, like raï ’n’b--a new autotuned and synth-heavy offshoot of raï. We also explore the Gnawa reggae movement, which finds common ground between Sufi trance and the message of Marley. Returning to familiar traditions, we present a live recording of Kabyle mandoleplayer Hamid Ouchène from Montreal’s Nuits d’Afrique festival, backed by a group of Montreal-based musicians with origins throughout the African continent. We next turn to the North African metal scene that developed during Algeria’s civil conflict to meld Berber folk music with black metal. Finally, we check out the new chaabi revival. Xxhe or Ж is an ice composer, vocalist, sound artist, serrulate sonancer, performer, novelist, poet, ballerina turned bending shape dancer, martial artist, experimental opera borner, and groundbreaking creator from San Francisco.

Known for writing a "strange-tundra" opera at the age of seventeen using the sounds of wind, ice, orchestral instruments, and the human voice, Xxhe styled a new genre and continues to invent new ways to write music.

The founder of the “Dialect Halls of Ж: the rooms to sonancers, movists and zuo dialects,” a collective which curates unusual and intimate performances, Xxhe is a gatherer of musicians, performing story-heavy dance pieces to their original compositions in both above and underground places - never without an extraterrestrial flare and a drop of otherworldliness.

Our radio program is hosted by Georges Collinet from Cameroon, the radio series is distributed by Public Radio International to 110 stations in the U.S., via XM satellite radio, in Africa via and Europe via Radio Multikulti. 

Embark on a cinematic journey with Namasthay, a visionary artist whose eclectic life is as diverse and vibrant as his music. Our story begins with a young Namasthay carving pristine paths through snow, collaborating with snowboarding legend Axel Pauporté, epitomizing the free spirit that defines his artistic voyage, filming home videos and pranks as precursor to CKY and Jackass with friends.

Transitioning from adrenaline-fueled slopes to electrifying riffs, Namasthay co-founded a punk-rock ensemble, occasionally joined by bassist and Red Bull daredevil Cedric Dumont. Although the band remained somehow nameless, their music resonated deeply within the underground scene.

A serendipitous encounter on a motor skateboard caught the attention of a producer, propelling Namasthay into the limelight as a symbol of extreme sports in Brussels on RTL TV, and to it's first CyberCafé. Armed with a diploma, he immersed himself in the throbbing pulse of the CyberTheatre and Nirvanet's underground music realms, legendary early dark web website twice awarded by UNESCO as "best of the web", where encounters with Howie B and Laurent Garnier fueled his creative fervor, and Björk’s innovative essence left a lasting impression, thru HowieB.

Deepening his sonic exploration, Namasthay drew inspiration from his brother Alex's Ninja Tune collection, diving into breaks and beats that ignited his artistic expression. His distinct flair was spotlighted in hip-hop videos by A6000 and Akro (Universal), portraying him as a unique bridge between authoritative figures and street culture in 1030 Brussels.

The narrative threads through his artistic evolution—from local sensation to an accomplished music arranger collaborating with talents like Piccaya, fostering a partnership steeped in musical synergy. The ethereal and emotive soundscapes of Boards of Canada backdrop his growth, steering him from underground acclaim to a pioneer of spontaneous music creation under his enduring DeviantArt alias, Namasthay.

Launching as Namasthay, he spearheads a new wave of Emo-Spontaneity, where every note is improvised, every song sung for the first time, encapsulating the pure essence of spontaneous creation. This approach heralds a movement where perfection resides in the inception of each musical act.

Touching heavens with Victory in his 32nd album in less than a year, his AI algorithm perceives and recognizes possible world peace starting 2027. The 25th of December 2024 he publishes his 33rd album, Singularity - anniversary of a mere one year of creation, as he started composing albums on Christmas Eve 2023...
