Having been at the centre of the UK Soundsystem scene for over a decade. Reggae Roast are delighted to present their 2nd studio Album 'More Fire!'. 

Bringing together a plethora of world-famous Reggae stars on one record, including veterans Horace Andy, Johnny Clarke & Horseman, alongside more contemporary vocalists such as Gappy Ranks, Mr Williamz & Soom T, this limited edition LP is not to be missed!

Taking you on joyful journey through the ages, Reggae Roast seamlessly join the dots between Jamaican and UK Bass Music, tastefully taking influences from Rocksteady through to roots, Dancehall, Jungle and Dubstep, with outstanding vocal performances from all the artists involved.

'More Fire!' follows on from their debut album ‘Turn Up The Heat’, which was released through the legendary Trojan Records in 2020 reaching no.1 in The i-Tunes Reggae charts.

Rooted in those rare moments of tranquility throughout a parent’s life, Early Color is the auditory memoir of Griff through his time as a stay-at-home dad to a growing toddler making sense of the world. Conceptually, the album is laid out as a natural progression starting with the beautiful field recordings of ‘Zoom Deck’ and warm melody of ‘Hemmed’, both evoking visions of a hazy, forest morning, slowly waking up after night’s embrace. Shaking off the slumber, ‘Steel Wool’ provides an energetic start to the day as most children tend to do, to the dismay of some parents. Followed by the understated grooves of ‘Bubby & the Submersible’.

Approaching the second half of the album, ‘Trace Fossil’ and ‘Atoll’ kick things into gear with ear-worm-like melodies that build and build throughout into an emotional trip, while ‘FGH’ brings a more melancholic take. Capping off the string of four on the floor tracks is the growling ‘Why Yellow’, a more serious number that would fit well in many a dj set. Alighting from the burst of energy, we have the breakish beats of ‘Resnooze’, whose warm bass-lines and wide ranging synths envelop the listener. Finally arriving at the last track, the aptly named ‘Sitting Quietly Looking at Things’ is a musical combination of all that was prior. Emotive, textured, impactful, as the spoken word sampled lends such an air to the track.

Early Color’s artwork was also created by Griff, through a series of layered scans and is evocative of both his music, and the visual direction of Never Late. As a collection of personal moments, sounds, experiences will be key to future releases, as we strive to find the best expression of each artist that we work with.

As September 15 approaches, the eagerly anticipated launch of Never Late, a record label poised to extend the musical journey of our platform Delayed, draws near. A marvelous "Early Color" album by one of the label's co-founders, Aspetuck, is kicking off this promising debut. "Early Color" emerges as a ten-track opus showcasing an evolution in his craft, characterized by impeccable sound design and an inviting ambiance that seamlessly floats within an ambient and deep, low-slung, hazy house. 

A track designed to grace dance floors enveloped in the ethereal haze of smoke machines is undoubtedly a 'growler' - 'Why Yellow.' From its inception, two distinct characteristics have taken the forefront: a profound affection for the resonant warmth of analog sound and a prodigious mastery of intricate sound design. The track's undeniable charm is carried by an infectious bassline sequence, which, refreshingly, doesn't steal the spotlight. Instead, it graciously steps aside to allow the intricate subtleties and meticulously filtered nuances to take the lead, propelling the track forward with an unassuming confidence.

Why Yellow? 
Because yellow embodies happiness, optimism, joy, and friendship, these sentiments encapsulate the essence of Never Late's birth and aspirations. Just as the sun's rays puncture through clouds after a brief delay, Never Late emerges as a harbinger of positivity and camaraderie, akin to yellow's vibrant resonance. The future is indeed bright, painted with shades of promise.

Reggae Roast, one of the UKs leading Reggae Soundsystems & party starters, have forged a reputation as the leading light in the resurgence of the British Reggae, putting on some of the best parties and festival stages across the country. Having recently signed to the world famous Trojan Records they are at the forefront of the UK Reggae and Bass Music scene.

Reggae Roast’s first release on Trojan, went straight in at #1 on the Juno Reggae charts, while getting good radio support from the likes of David Rodigan (1 Xtra) and Ras Kwarme (Capitol Xtra) and Don Letts (6 Music), while their follow up single ‘Real Reggae Music’ featuring the legendary Tippa Irie, was included in the Trojan Records 50th Anniversary box set, selling thousands of copies. 

2019 will see them pick up were they left off with releases on Trojan Reloaded featuring  General Levy, Rankin Joe, Mr Williamz, Burro Banton, Charlie P and many more.

In 2015 Reggae Roast built their own custom Soundsystem pushing the boundaries of soundsystem aesthetics, taking soundsystem design into the 21st century. Their soundsystem remains the cornerstone of their events and with it they have run stages at prestigious festivals such as Glastonbury, Outlook Festival (Croatia), Secret Garden Party, Eastern Electric, Boomtown, Telerama Dub Festival (France) and many more. 

At their events they have hosted some of the biggest names in Reggae including  Horace Andy, The Wailers, Lee Scratch Perry, Sly and Robbie, Collie Budz, Mad Professor, David Rodigan, Suggs (Madness), Channel One, Trojan Sound, Gappy Ranks, Finley Quaye, Aba Shanti I, Mungo’s Hi Fi and many many more. 

Reggae Roast have built a strong fanbase over the years with nearly 200,000 social media followers. They have racked up over 8 million plays on Soundcloud alone and their monthly podcasts receives 10s of thousands of plays. They have played all over the world from India and Thailand to the UK and back. This year they were personally asked by Shy FX and Chase & Status to play at their events.

Reggae Roast are dedicated to bringing reggae and soundsystem culture to a new generation and are steadily building a formidable catalogue of releases and achievements.
