Every year, dozens of children die in hot cars during the summer months.  NHTSA and the Ad Council have a new awareness campaign.   And tech can play a role in prevention.   NHTSA's Laura Dunn chats with Techstination's Fred Fishkin.

Laura Dunn is a Highway Safety Specialist for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Laura is an accomplished state and federal program manager with extensive work in program development, management, and implementation with over 15 years of experience. 

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) an average of 37 children die annually from heatstroke after being trapped in a car. As of last month, 7 kids have died of vehicular heatstroke already in 2025.

Laura joins the program to talk about latest statistics from this summer, steps to ensure kids are kept safe, and free resources for parents.
