echo & soul are back. Well, honestly Carsten and Oliver never really duck away after releasing their first album. They are still on their journey ‘from atomic to zero’, which is more of a marathon than a sprint... and let's be honest, focusing on quality and tinkering away in the background is much smarter than running out of finesse right after the first few tunes, right? So, over the last few weeks, the duo has been fine-tuning new tracks and working out remix ideas in the studio. All with their classic, warm sound. With ‘Haze’, you can look forward to their new single, which once again pushes through the speakers with a driving force. Four to the flour, with warm synths, a bass that wraps you up and Olli's saxophone parts that create a feeling that carries you away.

Of course, there's also a bonus remix. As with the first release, Trust in Wax label boss Atwashere himself contributes a call it two-step, garage or whatever kind of banger.

The main thing is with this release is that you move your feet to it. ... and now put on your headphones or turn up your hi-fi and enjoy the new material from echo & soul.

You can’t really find Plaisance on a map, it’s more of a feeling. Somewhere between Paris nights and a Chicago basement party, that’s where “Coldie” lives. It’s the title track and single from Tom & Antoine’s debut EP, and it moves with that kind of quiet confidence that turns heads without trying too hard. The vibe is classic house with a fresh twist. Deep groove, tight rhythm, and then there’s Ua, whose voice just slides in and stays with you, like a thought that hits late at night when everything else goes quiet. Newton Benneti nasceu em Guarulhos, em 1977. Criado no bairro do Cabuçu, ao pé da Serra da Cantareira, ele conviveu com a (boa) música desde sempre. Seu pai é João Nelson, musicista da banda Os Versáteis, que gravou com Tom Zé e Elis Regina. A música eletrônica chegou a ele pelos programas de rádio da Sound Factory. Iniciou a carreira de DJ em 1996, no grupo “Código Negro”, de Guarulhos. O interesse pela música eletrônica vem no ano seguinte e, em 1999, começa a produzir. Apresentou-se em clubes lendários como a Lov.e e raves como a Fusion. Em 2001, muda-se para o interior de São Paulo e começa a faculdade de Filosofia na Universidade Estadual Norte do Paraná (Uenp). Ali atua em movimentos estudantis e segue com a produção musical e apresentações no circuito universitário na fronteira entre São Paulo e Paraná. Em 2010, lançou seu primeiro EP internacional pelo selo Chibar Records, da Alemanha. Hoje continua produzindo e lançando música eletrônica distante do mainstream, e transitando entre diversos gêneros da música eletrônica não comercial. Do Deep ao Techno, com pitadas de psicodelia, Newton B. é DJ da resistência underground da música eletrônica brasileira.

Trust in Wax is an artist collective and record label from Münster, Germany. We produce records, we play records. It’s really that simple. But above all else, we play good music. No matter what style. HipHop, Soul, Jungle, Reggae – you’re getting it, right?

It all started with some mash ups and special edits to nice up our own gigs. Now we are a proud presenter of numerous official releases. Our artists do remixes for label mates or even craft their very-own tunes.

Under Trust in Wax we run two sublabels so far. They may differ in style, but unite all the love and passion we have for heavy basslines, thick drums, dubby echoes and crispy vinyl crackles.

On 'Nice One' we present downbeat music whilst moving through to traditional HipHop styles. 'Antitype' is our latest extension. It focuses more on tunes that are mostly uptempo, sometimes electronical and often broken.

2024 marks our 25th anniversary celebrating two decades of Trust in Wax live events plus being in the record label games officially for five years now.
