Efajemue - Future Pocket 

Future Pocket is a collection of over 200 drum and percussion loops and oneshots recorded by Los Angeles-based drummer and producer Efajemue. Known for his stylistic versatility and expressive creativity, Efajemue's sound draws from jazz, hip hop and electronic music to bring you a combination of singular grooves that push the envelope in multiple directions at once. 

These beats, both soulful and innovative, draw inspiration from visionaries such as Knxwledge, Flying Lotus, Kaytranada and Questlove. As a producer, Efajemue's own 2022 album Aesthetics was nominated for a JUNO Award, and he’s toured with some of the most forward-thinking, deeply musical artists of today including Moonchild, Kiefer, and Vidya Vox. 

This pack features Istanbul Agop cymbals, Yamaha Drums, custom instruments by Stack Ring Percussion, and a variety of percussion instruments from Efajemue's personal collection. Drums were recorded alongside percussion to build a variety of unique and layered groove possibilities, engineered by Efajemue himself in Los Angeles, CA.

The collection is rounded out with some additional production and instrumental recordings by nu.wav’s own Bryn Bliska & Simen Sez, matching Efajemue’s rhythmic experimentation with distinctive harmonic progressions and eclectic sonic textures from a variety of analog and digital instruments and processors.

Obsidian is a journey through the depths of dark sound design created by Loudwing Aldair in his studio, La Casa, located in San José, Costa Rica, to share with the underground community. It’s a tour through raw Berlin-style sounds, featuring atonal melodies and very deep 90s-style bass-lines.

It includes over 150 sounds, between loops and one-shots, featuring tones crafted with a semi-modular Moog synth, Arturia V Collection, a 909 drum kit, and Ableton’s suite of synths like Analog, Operator, and Wavetable. A fusion of multi-layered textures, rhythmic foundations, groovy bass-lines, and psychedelic soundscapes.

Obsidian offers a variety of processed and powerful sounds, some of which are essential elements in Loudwing Aldair’s productions, within a tempo range of 130–140 BPM, ready to make people dance. All sound design, production, and mixing were done by Loudwing Aldair—DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist, director of Sesiones en la Casa, and member of the band Garcín.
