Today we show our appreciation for young talent at the cutting edge of electronic music and bring in dutch DJ/producer Cleanfield. 

An old head on young shoulders, Cleanfield’s passion for music is deeply rooted in the rich history of Soul, Funk, Disco, and practically anything that will get those hips to move. The sunshine after the rain? We're done with overcast skies and seeing our breath in the morning here at Sense Traxx, so we're rejecting all of that and are bringing the heat with a remix package of sunsoaked piano houser Believe! 

Welcome back folks, spring is springing and we're back with some feel good jams! Now, Mike Agent X Clarke blessed us with Believe at the back end of 2018 and we absolutely loved it and by all accounts so did you! So much so, we've asked a few of our favourite guys to give it a rework.

Firstly, we've invited uber cool Dutch author turned producer Nachtbraker in to the fold. Nachtbraker is Dutch for 'Night Hawk' and as such, his take is a lot more suited for those late nights. Now this is truly one for the heads. a roller coaster ride of pulsating bass, thunderous kicks, offbeat percussion and even an acid line! Sound incredible? Well it is. Sit back, relax and take this one in. Subtle, brooding and groovy, late night, big system and a clued up crowd is what this record was built for! 

Secondly, we've invited Planktom into the Sense Traxx stable! Polish born producer has delivered a slammin' slab of housey goodness to keep this package rolling! With nods towards the house OG's like Morales, this driving piano houser is everything you'd need to keep the pace of a floor into the early hours! Sharp use of the vocal and an addictive riff, this is a roller that makes you smile! If you're aim as a DJ is to ignore the chin strokers and light things up, then whip this out! 

Lastly, to round of this superb package, you'll remember that release had a Scott Diaz cut on there, he's now given us a 'floor focused Dub! All the action, less of the flannel! Keys and drums all the way with this! Kept the stabs and sharpened up the percussion somewhat, with the bassline coming to the fire of this mix.  Bumpy garagey heaven from the UK don! 

Right then folks, there you have it! We're super proud of this and hope you love it like we do!

Four new original songs from Nachtbraker with intricate percussion and melodic arrangements. Diving deep into Nachtbraker’s wicked mind, each tune has a healthy dose of weirdness. 

Title track “Bay Be Blu” tickles the endorphin receptors with its euphoric melodies and ‘Stranger Things’ atmospheres. The second track leans on soothing warm synths gliding over a dub bass with tight drums. In addition, attentive listeners will hear Nachtbraker’s personal field recordings on the beaches of Barceloneta.  When the record is flipped one finds herself in “Tangelo Dreams”, a mid 90’s, Pacific Records inspired jam with a driving baseline. Rounding off the record is “Drip”, a track drenched in unconventionalism and oddities.

Based in San Diego CA (soon to be Riverside CA), past residences in San Francisco CA and Dallas TX.

Starting out under the moniker DJ3 circa 1996, James Halon was a resident at Record Resource and played events in Denton and Dallas TX. Moving to San Francisco in 1999, James started weekly events with For The Music & helped found the music side of False Profit. James ran the sound system for False Profit at 43 Norfolk and put on many amazing nights at the warehouse. He has also joined forces and played with many crews and venues, including Dub Beautiful, Ambient Airlines, Space Cowboys, B-Family, Eklektic, Future Breaks, Tenderloft, Tags Trance Trip, GrooveTech Radio, Anon Salon, Trust, Wish, Mighty SF, DNA Lounge, 1015 Folsom, and many more.

In 2004, James co-founded Cedub Studios and moved away from DJing to focus on production and engineering for local artists. During this time he helped create and launch Fake Science as a podcast, then expanded to online digital music distribution and A&R.  He produced tracks under the Cell Culture act with Chris Walcott. He also produced tracks as The Clockmakers with DJ Yap, under the moniker DJ Bespoke. 

In 2009, James moved from the Bay and headed to his new home, San Diego. After taking a longer then expected break to settle into his new home, James is building out a new studio and has returned to producing and DJing. Starting in 2020, James began weekly live streams, featuring new, classic and original tracks focusing on all things House x Techno.

Update: Mixes are now on an XDJ and the transition to CDJ and Rekordbox has been FUN! Still don't plan much out before the mixing, like going with the flow and doing it 'live'. Enjoy :)
