T.V. Paul is James McGill Professor of International Relations in the Department of Political Science at McGill University, Montreal and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He served as the President of the International Studies Association (ISA) for 2016-17. He is also the Founding Director of the Global Research Network on Peaceful Change (GRENPEC). His books include "The Warrior State: Pakistan in the Contemporary World" (2013) and "Globalization and the National Security State" (with Norrin M. Ripsman, 2010), and he is the lead editor of "The Oxford Handbook of Peaceful Change in International Relations" (2021).

 The world’s largest democracy is facing the greatest challenge since the end of British colonial rule in 1947.

﻿The Incarcerations pulls back the curtain on Indian democracy to tell the remarkable and chilling story of the Bhima Koregaon case, in which 16 human rights defenders (the BK-16) – professors, lawyers, journalists, poets – have been imprisoned, without credible evidence and without trial, as Maoist terrorists.

Alpa Shah unravels how these alleged terrorists were charged with inciting violence at a public commemoration in 2018, accused of waging a war against the Indian state, and plotting to kill the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Expertly leading us through the case, Shah exposes some of the world’s most shocking revelations of cyber warfare research, which show not only hacking of emails and mobile phones of the BK-16, but also implantation of the electronic evidence that was used to incarcerate them. Through the life histories of the BK-16, Shah dives deep into the issues they fought for and tells the story of India’s three main minorities – Adivasi, Dalits and Muslims – and what the search for democracy entails for them.

Essential and urgent, The Incarcerations reveals how this case is a bellwether for the collapse of democracy in India, as for the first time in the nation’s history there is a multi-pronged, coordinated attack on key defenders of various pillars of democracy. In so doing, Shah shows that democracy today must be not only about protecting freedom of expression and democratic institutions, but also about supporting and safeguarding the social movements that question our global inequalities.

Narendra Modi in his first visit to Washington DC since Trump's return showed how exactly to deal with Donald Trump and massage his ego. Even CNN termed this as a Modi masterclass. On the other hand Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy faltered to handle Trump and Vice President JD Vance amidst the cameras and exited with nothing to show.

The chief beneficiaries of the Indo-Pak division are the imperialists and the most reactionary ruling-class elements on both sides of the border. In 2008, the governments of India and Pakistan set up a cross-border route for barter trade between the two sides of divided Jammu and Kashmir as part of a much-welcomed move towards establishing peace between the two countries and settling the festering question of Kashmir’s status. The route, which crosses the heavily militarised ‘Line of Control’ (LoC) that was established after the 1947 Indo-Pak war, was closed again as tensions re-escalated in 2019. Governments on both sides of the border have consistently ignored the real interests of their peoples by stoking the fires of sectarian and communal conflict, when the dearly-held wish of all sane citizens is the peace, rapprochement and cooperation which alone can start to heal the terrible wounds inflicted on the subcontinent by British imperialism.

Greg Pimmermen is an American Post-Rock Band from Hollywood California. The Band includes three members; Greg Pimmermen, Jim Cummings, and Chartreuse Jones with Eric William of Eric Williams and the One Man Tuba Band being a former member (If you've seen this man contact the Los Angeles Police Department). 

Greg Pimmermen was offered a job at Capital Records, but turned it down instead opting for a start up of a family friend, Biggie Skicer's Real Boy Records. Greg Pimmermen is currently a subsidiary of Real Boy Records (2.0). Greg Pimmermen achieved unprecedented success after the release of their first album, Heart of a Newborn in 2012, with their hit single Real Boy Anthem topping the charts in the Jewish community and being awarded the highest honor at the Somalian Music festival in Michigan. 

The band has established several charities, and worked for causes such as, No Child Left Behind, The Cat Stevens Where Do the Children Play Foundation  , and most recently joining the Donald Trump presidential Campaign. In a statement to ABC7, Pimmermen said the following, "I disagree with Mr. Trump on many things, such as immigration, but I am just happy to be here making America Great Again." 

Greg Pimmermen has been the center of some controversies when news came to light of a contract that Biggie Skicer, the record label's president, had signed with an Egyptian warlord by the name of Ammon Muqta'l Sisi III for the procurement of 50 slaves of the Berber race. Skicer has defended his actions in court saying that he "saved the boys from their miserable condition", and the controversy was settled in a federal court. The band was arrested in Iowa after officers had been tipped off that they were illegally transporting a camel through the state. The matter was handled at the local level and no charges were pressed. 

Greg Pimmermen is well known for their tours in the continental United States, due to their unorthodox tour bus, which is a decommissioned fire truck from 1973. All the band members and the 50 boys are said to live in it while on tour.

Greg Pimmermen announced in February of 2016 that they were working on their second album, Calliope Daydream, and have since released two singles, Sweet Black Tar (on his lips), and Bushman. The Album is slated for release in late 2016 or early 2017.
