Your essence is pure – may your splendour be glorified!
Your name is Master and Mighty One – may Your splendour be glorified!

You are colour and fragrance of the flowerbed,
You are on the parrot’s tongue; why should the sweet-voiced
nightingale not sing: ‘may Your splendour be glorified!’

Destroy as You will and raise up as You will.
Annihilation and subsistence are in Your hands.
May your splendour be glorified!

One is a king, one an amīr, another an outcast or faqīr.
You created us as You willed – may Your splendour be glorified!

This sinner is Nasīm – 
You are Karīm (kind) and Rahīm (merciful).
Your generous gift to me is the Prophet – 
may Your splendour be glorified!

Du bist Farbe und Duft des Blumenbeets,
Du liegst auf der Zunge des Papageis; warum sollte die süße Stimme der
Nachtigall nicht singen: 'Möge Deine Pracht verherrlicht werden!'

Zerstöre, was Du willst, und erhebe, was Du willst.
Vernichtung und Fortbestand liegen in Deiner Hand.
Möge Deine Pracht verherrlicht werden!

Einer ist ein König, einer ein Amīr, 
ein anderer ein Ausgestoßener oder Faqīr.
Du hast uns geschaffen, wie Du es wolltest – 
möge Deine Pracht verherrlicht werden!

Tu esencia es pura - ¡que Tu esplendor sea glorificado!
Tu nombre es Maestro y Poderoso - ¡que Tu esplendor sea glorificado!

Tú eres color y fragancia del macizo de flores,
Tú estás en la lengua del loro; ¿por qué el ruiseñor de dulce voz
no debería cantar: ‘¡glorificado sea Tu esplendor!’

Destruye como quieras y resucita como quieras.
Aniquilación y Subsistencia están en Tus manos.
¡Que Tu esplendor sea glorificado!

Uno es rey, otro amīr, otro paria o faqīr.
Nos creaste como Tú quisiste – 
¡que Tu esplendor sea glorificado!
