A dark ritual folk lament rooted in the haunting reality observed in palliative studies: in their final moments, many people - regardless of age or belief, even if their mother has long passed - instinctively call for her help. "Forever a Child" explores that last human reflex, the return to the first voice we knew. Blending gothic Americana, breath-close vocals, bowed-guitar drones, and a ghostlike whistle motif, the track follows an old man’s final struggle as he reaches not for God, but for the memory of his mother—where all souls go when the light fades.
