For the next single from Rumpistol’s upcoming Nebula LP, we're pulling back the blinds on 'Silver Seed'. 

Serving as the penultimate track of the album, there's a familiarity right from the jump, like walking back into the warm family home after a winter trek. Reverberant synthesis carries the composition with an orchestral gait, leaving behind the sterility typical of synth-heavy productions. It's patient in its arrangement, jostled along by whisper-thin percussion and gentle downbeats, pulling from Rumpistol's long-term love affair with jazz of all flavors, and sits right at home alongside the other 9 tracks that make up the forthcoming release.

The lyrics really resonated with me  based on how I have been feeling as a citizen of the US the last several months. The tone seems to fit with my my most recent original composition called "Bravery".

I changed it into country rock style, a bit like Neil Young on the Tonight's The Night record (my favourite one), rewrote the lyrics, changed one or two chords and added a chorus, with the Hank Williams kind of singing (at least trying to):

I have enjoyed music for as long as I can remember and cannot remember a day of not either singing or listening to music. I am self-taught when it comes to playing guitar but what I most enjoy is singing which I have been doing since around age 18. Now retired singing and playing the guitar is now just a hobby and something I do to help pass the time. Have always  loved the sound of a Martin guitar. Currently been playing a Road Series DR S2 for about 6 years. Thanks for listening. I also enjoy discovering the sounds of other talented musicians and singers here on SoundCloud.

A songwriter and novice harmonica player who is vocally challenged rides coat tails of musician friend.  The recent posting of 42 songs are raw vocal tracks from a mere 3 hours of recording studio time (given to me as a Christmas gift).   
     These are great songs that are best heard from the original artist.  Check them out.  I love those "Hobo Tunes" and feel compelled to croak Croce.  I'll tell you, I had a blast in a real recording studio.  Thank You Andrew and Mockingbird Music Studio.

What's the track I like best?  While Vocal Destruction is fun, and I'm most proud of writing Whiskey with Wade, I'd say Diablo Wind.  It moves me.  I wrote it but left the rest to the professionals.  Ah, and that Piano.

Born in Kerman, Iran, I've been playing music since I was 10, composing since 15, and have released four albums—from experimental metal with my band AORTAE to my solo classic rock and folk works. Since 2012, I have been consistently releasing my music, including over 10 singles.

Beyond being a musician, I’m also deeply passionate about teaching. As a professional music instructor, I find joy in helping others discover their musical voices. Academically, I’m a university professor and PhD candidate, exploring the fascinating intersections of jazz music and poetry in my research.
