Pour ce chapitre 99, je rencontre dans nos bureaux à Aix-en-Provence,  Eric Vanhaverbeke qui a été l’artisan de la renaissance de la marque de vélos Dilecta. Curieuse coïncidence du calendrier car il y a exactement 3 ans de cela, j’avais testé pour le magazine Cyclist le premier vélo de la marque, tout juste sorti des ateliers de fabrication de Cyfac. Ce vélo jaune, qui reprenait la couleur des anciens coursiers fabriqués autrefois, était baptisé « Le Blanc »,  en mémoire à ses origines. Ce premier vélo, avec son cadre en acier et porteur de quelques symboles du passé, marquait ce nouveau départ. Le challenge d’Eric était énorme : faire revenir au devant de la scène une marque oubliée depuis plus d’un demi siècle. Dans cet entretien, que vous écouterez jusqu’au bout j’espère, vous découvrirez comment on peut souffler sur des braises éteintes depuis les années 60 pour faire à nouveau jaillir le feu de la passion. Il faut une volonté de vrai passionné pour relancer, sans l’apport de gros investisseurs, une marque et la replacer dans l’air du temps en gardant l’esprit de ce qu’elle a été dans le passé. Cet exercice difficile est réussi pour Dilecta, alors que d’autres marques, plus célèbres pourtant, patinent encore pour émerger par de loures stratégies marketing, sur un marché où il y a foule. Les vélos Dilecta en acier sont réussis et le modèle gravel « Forçat » qui à suivi le modèle route « Le Blanc » est apprécié par tous ceux qui l’ont acquis.  En 2024 la marque va commercialiser un modèle en aluminium qui va démocratiser sa gamme gravel. Avec un prix de départ à 3000 €, plus de clients auront accès à un vélo Dilecta toujours produit en petite série et monté dans les ateliers d’Aix-en-Provence.

SINCERE IMPOSTER is curated by two musicians, both living within the same body, sharing a singular existence. They identify as Danielle & Dave. They are both psychologically and musically confused, yet extremely and unapologetically sincere.

Influences range from Weird Al and Nathan Fielder to David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain, and T-Swift. 

Danielle & Dave’s favorite inventions include the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel… who may be an entity or a god.
