“Never Forget” is a song based on my incredibly difficult journey of mental battles during extreme weight loss. Having lost 130+ pounds this past year made me realise that life is difficult, not fair, and even cruel. 

What I learned while going through my journey, made me appreciate who I used to be. I was the same guy who cared, put effort into all things, and showed up for anyone.

I was inspired to write this song as a tribute to Alec Penstone, the 100 year old WW2 Royal Navy veteran who, in a TV interview around the time of Remembrance Day, said he didn't think that the sacrifice of so many of the Nation's military personnel in WW2 was worth it. To quote his words, "The country of today? No, I'm sorry. The sacrifice wasn't worth the result that it is now. What we fought for was our freedom, and even now, it's a darn sight worse than what it was when I fought for it." Sobering and sad words from one of our brave and courageous military veterans...
