GROSTICK #51 - Y A-T-IL TROP DE JEUX VIDEO ?

■ Purpose: I like "This Dream" quite a lot and decided to recreate it. I was originally going to recreate "Hills of Radiant Winds" for Nines but decided to leave that for another time. (This has been dubbed "the new wake-up alarm" by Nines, so I'll call it a success.)

■ Thoughts: I recorded some passing rain recently. It sounded so peaceful bouncing off of the cover over the apartment balcony. It ended up being almost the exact length of the song. 🌧️

■ Purpose: who you’ve been, who you’ve become, who you’ll continue on to be, all of it is important. Each Lunar Tear sparked a new memory; all of it holds significance. We look back to find endless grace, learning from past ways under the shadow of God’s wings. We look forward, unashamed and unafraid, pressing on to better ways and better things.

Our hesitance, uncertainty, lingering doubts and wanderings, we can relinquish them to Him now. Faith isn’t blind, but understanding comes in time.

I made “Rem[embr]ance” while pondering a discussion with Nines, matters of human interaction and weighing intentions. My thoughts drifted to each time 9S wondered what kind of person 2B was, then to Emil and his first time meeting the two of them. Did his heart feel light?

■ Thoughts: forget not, lest you repeat the cycle. Fear not, lest the flame of hope grows dim within your heart. For where fear is found, it’s cast out through perfect love. Perfect in that it’s mature, humble, steadfast, selfless. Love in that it reverberates and reflects from those who know love Himself, for God is love. 🤍

NieR Replicant is one of my favorite games, and Ashes of Dreams has always been one of the most emotional and beautiful songs from its soundtrack. Every time I listen to it, it hits me right in the feels. While recording this cover, I wanted to capture that same bittersweet, nostalgic emotion that makes the song so special.
