Rufus | Hybrid Indoor Gathering - Closing Set | 17/11/2023

Tim Čulina also known as Rufus, is a producer and a Dj born in Pula, living in Zagreb.
From an early age Tim had a great interest in music, especially in its weirdness and originality. 
Tim started playing guitar and learning music theory at the age of 7, taking great interest in compositors 
like Frank Zappa, John Coltrane, Soft machine and many other Jazz/Prog rock producers.
After many years of studying instrumental music and its theory, after visiting Modem festival for the first 
time in 2017 he connects psy-trance phrases and complexity to those of Avante-garde jazz and other 
instrumental progressive music.
Tim after that started researching a lot of psy-trance producers and labels, started to learn abletone 
production and Dj-ing. 
In 2023 after finishing his original track 'In Between the cycle' he starts Dj-ing in clubs such as 
Akc Attack, Klub Željezničar, Funk Club, Sound factory and thus forming his own collective, 'Acidofil'. 
His style of psy-trance involves dark and psychedelic tracks with rhythmic and groovy rhythm sections 
but also intelligently and musically connected lead phrases.
