Ricardo Tobar returns to MUSAR with 'Knitting' - a four-track EP blending dancefloor intimacy with raw, analog spirit. A two original cuts from the Chilean producer are joined by standout remixes from synth sorcerer Pye Corner Audio and cosmic rave queen Nightwave.

The EP opens with 'Los Siblings', a distilled snapshot of Tobar’s current sound: intricate arrangements, ethereal melodies, heavyweight bass-line and a vintage edge shaped for the club. “I’m embracing the dancefloor,” he says. “This is me doing tunes I would like to dance to.”

On the flip, 'Knitting' unravels from a simple arpeggio into lysergic ‘’Stereolab’' - techno chaos-alive, imperfect, and deeply personal. “It sounds like it wants to eat itself,” Tobar reflects. Layers on layers of psychedelia and cosmic melody turn this into a trippy journey track like no one else does.

Inspired by a realm that could be anywhere or nowhere. At any moment or none at all. A surreal soundscape where space folds into stars, rain falls in slow motion, and you’re not observing - you’re inside it. 
It doesn’t matter where you are or when you are - only that the music is loud, your headphones are on, you're fully immersed, disconnected from the world around you, guided only by sound, ready to step into the void, and surrender to the rhythm.
Each track in this mix was carefully chosen to support this atmosphere - beginning with pulse and harmony, then slowly slipping into tension, distortion, and eventual collapse.

All my mixes are done and recorded in real time.
This one in particular took weeks of preparation and three full attempts to reach a version I was personally satisfied with. There are still a few minor mistakes - things I could have cleared out with a fourth try. But I chose to leave them in.
To preserve authenticity.
To remind myself that we’re all human.
And that chasing perfection is a beautiful, but endless pursuit.
