On Silent Betrayal, KANTIBUS trades bravado for remorse in a neon-lit confession of guilt and abandoned trust. This haunting synth-wave ballad drips with atmosphere—distant pulses and whispered vocal chops set the stage for a midnight odyssey gone wrong.

From the first line—“Moonlight bleeds along cracked pavement”—you’re plunged into a city that never sleeps, where every footstep reverberates with fear. Verse 1 captures the frantic hope of sending someone you care about out into the night, only to watch her silhouette slip into danger you can’t control. By Verse 2 (“Empty pockets, our gold turned regret / I lost my job, can’t pay the rent”), the stakes deepen: a cold note on your doorstep marks her desperate vanishing.

A sub-bass-swelled pre-chorus bleeds into a chorus that rings like an echo chamber: “Trust dissolves on broken chrome… Silent betrayal—will you ever come home?” A warm 808 glide in the bridge gives way to airy vocal layers that underscore every fractured secret and every unspoken apology. Silent Betrayal

"Sweater Girl" is a sultry 1990s-style trip-hop and electronic rock track that echoes the seductive grit of Garbage and the smoky pulse of late-night Paris. Set on the Metro at the edge of the city, the song follows a passionate woman drawn to a mysterious figure—the elusive Sweater Girl.

It's unclear if this is love, lust, or something in between. Both women may have their histories with men, but tonight, it’s just them. There's tension, desire, and a sense that time is running out. As the train nears the end of the line, so does the moment—and she’s desperate not to let it slip away.

It is a portmanteau of his first initial and last name. 

KANTIBUS started creating what would eventually become known as Drill or Trap Music, demonstrating expertise in both genres.
