this project is unlike anything i've ever attempted and much longer in the making than my past projects. it will feature an accompanying exhibition at the shoe bones gallery in salem -- for more information, see my instagram.

one extra song (the intro to the album) is available upon purchasing this ep from bandcamp. the next single will be available 09/02 on the date of the gallery opening. the full album will be released 10/06 after the show is no longer on display 👁

Niche Crush are Ollie & Loz. a Manc and a Scouser now living by the sea in Margate. They formed in late 2021 after drinking too many bottles of orange WKD and deciding it would be a good idea to start a band and play a gig at a spoken word event in Merthyr Tydfil, in Wales. We don’t know why or how this was allowed to happen but it did, the gig went well and they got asked back to do another one! They quite like Merthyr Tydfil and the people of Merthyr Tydfil seemed to like them too. Buoyed on by these rather successful, but rather ill advised gigs (Merthyr Tydfil is a long, long way from Margate), they’ve since been busy sat in a bedroom in Margate drinking more orange WKD, writing and recording music and this summer saw them play a whole host of gigs outside of Wales including London, Manchester and numerous shows in Margate.

They have about 48 songs so far, and yes, they are all named after people. People they love, people they hate, some are real and some are fake. It’s probably a bad idea to start a new band with such a silly concept but hey, why not?

Every Text Is A Little Letter is a collection of 3 of those songs and is the band’s first offering to the world after much procrastination. All recorded in their bedroom and we think it sounds boss!

Simon is about a chap called Simon and is based on teenage lyrics found in the loft. Romeo is named after Romeo Stodart off of the Magic Numbers but has nothing to do with him, they just liked the name. Gareth is actually about their friend Gareth, he’s actually a lovely chap and frankly they’re really worried about him ever hearing it…

What does the future hold for Niche Crush? We’re guessing 2024 will see more more orange WKD drunk, more songs written, recorded and released. They're busy booking more gigs atm and finishing up the mixes of EP2 and EP3!

Oh and ideally they’d like someone to like them, give them gigs, play them on radio and then get a massive fuck off (or even a teeny weeny) record deal, failing that some free bottles of orange WKD would be nice…

-> een aparte papiertje toegeweid aan dat je de .flp-s ook moet traceren en alle acid .flps & presets ook echt moet uitproberen!!!! Met flp-s traceren zou ik dan ook beginnen!!!!
-> lijstje met timbres (en verwijzing naar lijstje met odd timbres) Er staat ook op dat je en hoe je het beste oude modules terug kunt laden. (door ALLE presets langs te lopen en FLP-s te traceren) En er staan een aantal tweevoudige-modules nog op... OJA ER STAAT OOK NOG ::: DUPLICEREN  & <-> SHUFFLEN <-> !!
-> odd timbres
-> dat je ook zelf drums zou moeten leren inprogrammeren (effecten toegestaan) en dat je daarna het beste naar de F' Em en Sytrus notities kunt kijken en dan weer comineren met eigen drums voor 'ne nieuwen tune. En anders kun je altijd nog beginnen aan de 2-voudige mutanten patches in Vocodex!!! copypasta
-> je hebt ook weer een lijstje met namen van presets in Sytrus (niet vergeten de presets die je al had VOOR het traceren van .flp-s OOK mee moet nemen in het proces) 
-> een note over dat je weer kunt beginnen met 'inkapselen' v. module,en dat het de truc is hoeveel modules je d'r tussenlaat (verschilt letterlijk per elke keer) enne als laatste nog dat je weer een lijstje moet maken van geschikte "inkapsel"-timbres copypasta
-> en nu ook het lijstje met ingekapselde timbres tevens een aanvulling op de niet-ingekapselde timbres v/d vorige lijstjes (odd en niet odd) copypasta
-> een briefje met dat je de afgelopen projecten moet checken op dat ze goed geroute zijn in het geval dat ze uit bewerkte presets van oudere files bestaan copypasta
