My inbox is a burial mound,
And every click is a hopeless sound.

Where your dreams go stale and your soul plays dead.
Swipe your card, pretend to try,

Printer jammed for the fiftieth time,
Corporate’s new rule: “No snacks past nine.”
Meetings stacked with jargon trash,
“Synergize” this… I need a nap.

Chad's got a standing desk and pride,
He quotes Elon Musk, dead-eyed.
I nod like a bobblehead of despair,
As I scream into my ergonomic chair.

Welcome to the Office of Existential Dread!
Where ambition’s a ghost and hope’s long dead.
Paychecks drip like stale regret,
But hey — you’ve got dental, don’t forget!

One o'clock already?
More like one o'clock...kill me!
Lunch break’s over, time is fake.
I just updated the spreadsheet of my mistakes.

Clock strikes five, but I’m still here,
Boss says, “Teamwork!”, as he leaves for a beer.
I file my will in the cabinet tray,
And dream of running far away.

This is the Office of Existential Dread!
Where purpose is dead and coffee’s your meds!

Act 2 Office of existential dread

In the shadowed corner of my room…
It waits.
It grows.
It hungers for socks.

It started with a single shirt,
Crimson ketchup, shame, and dirt.
Then pants appeared with mustard scars,
Now it stretches past the minivan cars.

Socks of the Damned and towels of mold,
Ancient boxers, stories untold…
I hear them whisper in the night:
“Fold us… if you dare, mortal knight.”

Ohhh, the Laun'done'dry Leviathan! A beast that never dies!
It coils in corners, multiplies!
I wash and fold, I fight and cry —
But still it grows! Oh laundry, why?!

I sorted whites with all my might,
Only to bleach my socks to fright.
Colors ran like cowards do,
Now my wardrobe looks like a bruise.

The dryer roars like a dragon's mouth,
Spins my shame from north to south.
I lost a shirt, I lost my pride —
I swear that thing just ate my ride!

I stood atop Mount Dirty Tee,
Clutched a basket, fell to my knees.
The hamper burped, the stench was vast,
It coughed up gym shorts from the past.

I ironed shirts ‘til the moon rose high,
Then stared into the lint trap’s eye.
It blinked at me — a single speck…
I screamed and gave up on my neck.

Dryer sheets like battle flags,
Hung from towels like surrender rags.
I wave the white — though it’s still stained —
This war, my friends, shall be… unclaimed.

Ohhh, the Laundry Leviathan! Endless socks, unmatched pain!
You mock my efforts, stain by stain!
No detergent can cleanse my soul —
This laundry's dark and takes its toll!

Act 4 The Laundry Leviathan

The sun is creeping through the blinds again,
I hear that cursed chime — it strikes at ten to ten.
A digital demon with a glowing face,
And I slap it blind with savage grace.

It screamed, I struck — it came back louder.
I drooled on my pillow, dreamed of chowder.
Ten rounds deep in this brutal fight…
But sleep still whispers, “Just one more night.”

Snooze button apocalypse, ten more minutes to die,
The world can wait, my sheets don’t lie.
Chrono-armageddon in my cozy tomb,
I’m a warrior of dreams… in this blanket womb.

My phone is flashing texts from work,
"You're late again." They call me a jerk.
But I’m locked in a duvet deathmatch,
With drool-stained pride and a soul to snatch.

I could rise… become a man…
Make toast, face life, fulfill the plan…
But then it tolls — that dreadful tone —
And I know… I’m not alone.

Snooze button apocalypse, another minute defied,
Deadlines laugh while my will has died.
Inertia is my sovereign queen,
She whispers softly: “Let’s stay unseen.”

I dreamt I was a viking chief,
Conquering breakfast with a side of beef.
But then the alarm struck once again…
I died, respawned… in my bed of sin.

Snooze button apocalypse, nine alarms to my name,
Reality’s broken — but I’m not to blame.
In the battle of bed vs. the world outside,
The comforter wins, and I… shall… hide.

I fought the toast, I lost to socks,
I dueled a cart in aisle four blocks.
I yelled at clouds, I drank regret,
I still ain't folded laundry yet.

The screen was bright, the sleep was fake,

Yet here I stand, beneath the sun,
Alive-ish. Tired. Mostly done.

Tomorrow starts again! Like it always does!
With snooze alarms and coffee buzz.
We live, we slip, we scream, we spin—
And somehow lose our socks again!

I flossed one tooth and called it "clean."
I had a salad… made of whipped cream.
I paid my bills — just two months late.

I’m trapped in the couch, in this web I’ve set.

Stealing my youth, replacing belief.

Ignoring my own mundane.

Friends ask why I never go out,
I smile, but inside I’m filled with doubt.
