After a long break from releasing music, jazz.K.lipa returns with an album that captures exactly where his sound stands today. He was never really gone - but this is the first time he brings all of his influences together in one place: Soul, Funk, Jazz and Reggae blended with modern club sounds from Disco to Drum & Bass and UK Garage.

“Wrap-Up: The Dresden Tapes” isn’t a typical concept album - it’s a freestyle collection of 20 original tracks that showcase the full range of his production style. It works before and after a club night just as well as on the dancefloor itself - whether in the club, on the way to a festival, at sunset, or in late-night headphone mode.

A clear thread runs through the record: warm harmonies, organic basslines, dub-infused echoes, rhodes phrases, and drum grooves that shift between classic rare-funk aesthetics and modern beat culture. The reggae/dub influence is always present - not as a genre stamp but as an underlying aesthetic that gives the tracks depth, space and identity.

jazz.K.lipa moves freely between styles without committing to one of them. That’s the core of the album: open, hybrid, unbound, yet unmistakably his own. The tracks reflect what inspires him today - and what you hear in his DJ sets. Genre borders don’t play a big role here: if it grooves, if it has soul, if it moves, it belongs in the picture.

“Wrap-Up: The Dresden Tapes” is a snapshot of a producer and DJ who knows his roots, embraces his current phase, and stays open to what’s coming next. George Fotiadis is a multifaceted creative music producer under the alias Basement Freaks. Born in Greece, Fotiadis has established himself as a versatile artist with a rich portfolio spanning audio storytelling and funk-infused electronic music.

Under the Basement Freaks pseudonym, George Fotiadis has carved out a notable presence in the music world, particularly within the funk, soul, and breakbeat genres. He is recognized as a producer whose work pays homage to the golden age of funk, merging the 1970s and 1980s vibes with a modern twist. 

He also contributes to the music production community by releasing live-recorded sample packs through Black Octopus Sound, enhancing his influence among producers and DJs.

Fotiadis’s approach to music is marked by creativity and a refusal to adhere strictly to convention.
