Void S alias Leni, geboren und aufgewachsen in Schottland, begann 2013 mit dem Produzieren von Musik, hatte aber schon in jungen Jahren eine Vorliebe für die härteren Bereiche der elektronischen Musik. Nachdem er einige Jahre lang Tracks von anderen gespielt hatte, beschloss er, sich in der Produktion einen Namen zu machen, wobei er sich hauptsächlich auf harten Drum and Bass und Dark Neurofunk konzentrierte. Einige seiner wichtigsten künstlerischen Einflüsse in der Produktion sind „Katharsys“, „Audio“, „Switch Technique“, „Limewax“, „DJ Hidden & Eye D“, um nur ein paar zu nennen. Mit Veröffentlichungen auf etlichen Labels, z.B. Big Riddim und Future Sickness, gibt er jetzt sein Debüt auf UTM-Records mit einer 5-Track-Solo-EP. Jeder Track hat seinen eigenen Vibe, der diese EP zu einer Art Künstlerreise macht. „Atom Smasher“ – ein klassischer, von Reese angetriebener Track, der ihm das harte Oldskool-Feeling verleiht, aber große Synths halten den Track atmosphärisch. „Jungle Hunter“ ist der augenzwinkernde Neuro-Track mit verdrehten Neuro-Basslines und schlurfenden Drums. Anhand der Vocal-Snippets und dem Tracktitel wisst ihr schon, worum es geht. „Control“ ist eine Reise zurück in die düstere DnB-Ära von 2008. Harte Drumbreaks und dunkle Stabs werden euch mit neuem Leben ein Jahrzehnt zurückversetzen. „Nautilus“ – reiner opernartiger Neuro – große Strings nehmen euch mit auf eine Reise mit treibenden Basslines, getragen von opernartigen Leads – eine Interpretation seiner Sicht auf modernen Neurofunk. „Shaolin“ – der Titeltrack ist ein dunkler, stimmungsvoller, enorm atmosphärischer Track mit riesigen Pads und Synthesizern und verschachtelten Drums – das macht den Track zu einem emotionalen Stück, was die EP anführt.

After playing others tracks for a number of years, he decided to make his own mark in production, focusing mainly on hard Drum and Bass and Dark Neurofunk. Some of his main artist influences in production are “Katharsys”, “Audio”, “Switch Technique”, “Limewax”, “DJ Hidden & Eye D”, to name a few. With releases on quite a few labels now e.g. Big Riddim and Future Sickness, he now makes his debut on UTM-Records with a 5 track solo EP. Each track has its own distinct vibe making this EP a bit of an artist journey. “Atom Smasher”- a classic reese driven track to give it that Oldskool tough feel but big synths to keep the track atmospheric. “Jungle Hunter” Is the tongue in cheek Neuro track, with twisting Neuro basslines and shuffling drums, from the vocal snippets and track title if you know you know. “Control” is a trip back to the 2008 dark hard DnB era, hard drum breaks, dark stabs will take you back a decade with renewed life. “Nautilus” – pure opera Neuro, big strings take you into a neuro journey of driving basslines carried by operatic leads, a take on his view of modern Neurofunk. “Shaolin” – the title track is a dark, moody, hugely atmospheric track with huge pads and synths and intricate drum work, this makes the track an emotive piece to lead the EP.
