i'm proud to present to you one of my covers of a really good song by jane remover called kodak moment on the album frailty!

for those who don't know what OPL2 is, it was one of the biggest soundcard formats for PCs back in the late 80s and 90s! (alongside the first iteration OPL and the OPL3, which sounded superior) - it ran on the principle of FM synthesis, which you would also find in the sega mega drive/genesis :) (do note the algorithms on the sega megadrive/genesis were way more powerful considering it's based on the OPN, so it would probably sound better.. lmk if u want an OPN cover!)

i made this with ableton via the ADLplug plugin which is an accurate emulation of the OPL chips on most AdLib and Soundblaster sound cards. this cover adheres to the General MIDI format so if you wanted you could really play this entire cover's midi on an actual OPL-based soundcard from the 90s. 
(there were way too many midi tracks btw LOL)

yes i know it sounds a bit harsh on the high-ends, but that's how FM synthesis really be esp on the OPL2 lol. tried my best to counter that with a LP filter
