PeakLaserFocus pres. InTheMix - Overdrive

Just like last tribute, I didn’t really stick beat for beat to the original scene, I just made something that I thought could encompass the moment in a more general way. 

-For the beginning, I started with combining the ostinato of “Heroic Fighting Battle Song” with the very first part of the song “Quintuple” with a small guitar tease of “You say run”.

-The ostinato repeats but this time with some classic rock drums and the horn melody of the song “Battle of Deku”. It is followed by a calmer segment, again from “Battle of Deku” and then it overlaps with a small fragment of “You say run”.

-Then I used the villains main melody from “Paranormal Liberation Front” while adding a small ostinato melody from “Symbol of Fear” with some bells. This as a small way to represent Shigaraki.

-Then I did some small improv with the strings slowly getting a more hopeful sound while having the “Hero A” guitar ostinato melody but with a pluck instrument playing in the background. It then transitions to the theme for the vestiges I made in “Deku’s rage” and used again in “Hired gun”.

-After that we’re back to  “Heroic Fighting Battle Song” again, making a pretty close cover but adding another tease of “You say run”, then switching to the theme I made first for the heroes in “U.A. students vs Gigantomachia” and then used for when the pros and Deku team up in “I'll come home to you”.

-Then once more doing a close cover of  “Heroic Fighting Battle Song” while adding some guitar solos.

-We do a full switch to another close cover of “Quintuple” while adding small solos and melodies with the guitar flute. First adding a tease to the first melody of “Trinity”, then of the ostinato in the song “One For All vs. All For One” (since it played when Deku fought Muscular and that moment was just that iconic) and then a repeat of the “Trinity” theme but with a different ending note.

-Then I also did the second half of “Quintuple” with the key switch (I loved the drums in this part). Another close cover, I only added the “Hero A” guitar ostinato melody in the background. For the second half of this part though there is a small reference to “Katsuki and Izuku”. There is a very cool melody halfway through that song that I used in here with the guitar, just changing the ending notes a bit.

-Then I did another close cover to the main melody of “The last wielder”. I added a small pluck ostinato from “Battle of Deku” and also the vocals of the song that played when Deku had his first vision with the vestiges…honestly don’t remember which is that song’s name, I think it was “Plus Ultra” but I’m not so sure, please let me know if any of you know! For the second half I just added the “Heroic Fighting Battle Song” drums and some guitars to serve as buildup.

-Then the big part!! The one I’ve been wanting to do since the last tribute, a full epic / rock drums cover of “Heroic Fighting Battle Song”. It was another close cover just varying the drums and instruments, using guitars instead of the flute and adding extra horn melodies. From there we also cover the end of the song but with very hype rock drums and using again the flute melodies but with the guitar. 

-Finally, still on that hype vibe and using the same drums, I covered the main ostinato of “You say run”, that plus the horns and then….the end!
