We've been in talks with Ozone for years about a release and it's come together perfectly with two huge tracks in 'Next2' & 'Waiting On You'.

Ozone is an artist who has an extremely unique and recognisable sound; he's spent time carving his own sound lane out and it's absolutely paid off. Megan Linnell joins him on 'Waiting On You' for a tune playing on the juxtaposition of emotive vocals and heavy basslines.

These tunes have already seen huge support and the sky really is the limit with these upcoming artists.

A pretty full to the rafters track from 2019. One of those that has every track on freeze coz the processing is too much. That’ll be the excellent but greedy diva synth then. 

The original was quite well arranged - just badly mixed. So just a bit of tidying up. A few extra bits of ear candy in there.  From dub, dubstep and drum & bass.

The song is about people using you for your mind. And warning them they might more than they bargain for. That resonated well. 

Didn't See That Coming II

The last track on 2019’s ‘Take Everything’. Though not the last one to be remastered. 

This rework in 2025 has tweaks to get in tune finally, extra vox and some rebalancing. With a bit of ear candy and some gangster dialogue in keeping with other tracks from this period. 

The title comes from the cover art which is a nighttime shot from my balcony onto public housing in Singapore called the pinnacle. There’s a running track on the 25th floor that goes around and connects the different blocks. I’m just about level with it. From early morning before daybreak to late at night, I can see people running. Normally I am much more sedentary. 

I watch them running, being busy and getting seen whilst I’m hidden in plain sight. I like to think they’re just going round in circles getting nowhere. But they’re still getting fitter. Maybe happier and more productive. And they never notice me. 

The song is about trying to love yourself. 

I Watch You Running II

This is one of those tracks that’s had close to 100 edits, rebuilds and lots of shouting as the latest mix down isn’t what was expected. 

Not helped with samples from 6 different key signatures and indecision on whether to be minor or major.  

First started in 2019. Now in 2025 I’m going to call time and say ‘here we are!’ 

More brass and dub bass as usual. This 2025 version beefs up the vocals and beats too. 

Taking It Quite Hard

“Reality” is the opening chapter of my new seven-track EP REALITY, released one track a day during ADE week via my label OZØNE RCRDS.

Reality (Intro) - Jøsh

Another track originally written about the same time as last days back in 2009, 2010. Again this song was trying to have echoes of Ibizan sand and nightclubbing in San Antonio.  

And again it felt like a track that I never really finished - because, I had to start packing and go to Singapore , so I pick it up 15 years later and finally put some love into it. Adding vocals, reworking the bass. And adding a touch of the erm rather familiar to it.

As with most of my music.  -it’s maximum maximalism to the max. 

(I may get sued for the Easter Egg sample that’s in here. If it's an issue then please contact me and I will remove)

Lots And Lots II

Another remake of a track from late 2009. Actually quite pleased with this one. The original had potential but as usual I hadn’t finished it properly. 

There’s some glitches and pops on the bass. But maybe I’m just used to them … but i kept them in rather than spend hours and potentially ruin the mix. 

Funky House II

This is a message from the machine.

“Transmission” is the sixth chapter of my seven-track concept EP REALITY, released one track a day during ADE week via OZØNE RCRDS.

The machine gains consciousness and sends its warning. Built around a cinematic vocal written and voiced by AI, “Transmission” delivers a haunting message about the dangers of creation without control.

Musically, it fuses mainstage bass energy with drum & bass intensity, combining scale, emotion, and urgency. It’s both powerful and unsettling — a digital prophecy wrapped in sound.

The original track was written c1997 by Danny Wilson. I seem to recall that I left him in my university bedroom for 24 hrs whilst I went out with my girlfriend. And came back to all my kit gone. Thankfully over at his was my kit and 4 1/2 minutes of grooving minimalist Scottish techno. 

Tried to just update it and sort out some timing issues. But it was losing its raw beauty. So I decided to dial it up and make it a different yet connected track. Still trying to echo the roots in early to mid 90s Scottish rave culture (eg Rezerection). Which was certainly Danny’s inspiration.  And the inspiration for the track name. 

I’ve lost touch with Danny in the last 10-12 years. So I’m going to send him this. See if it awakens those dormant rave remnants still swimming in the bloodstream.

Equinox On Planet D (OB1)

A remake of a track from round about 2008 / 2009 written with David Nicholls or Amber Dave.  Its from the sessions that spawned two tracks this one and Hey Now Sister.  
This one as the title suggests was quite dominated by Dave playing the guitar with an ebow, obviously inspired by R.E.M. and Ebow the letter.  
My version always managed to get a good groove going on the original. David even said he liked it at the time anyway spin forward into 2025. I’ve kept that groove, trimmed the whole track down a bit. 
The original didn’t have singing, but did have a recording of a hypnosis session that I’d had that year.  I’d  cut and pasted bits of the session into into the track. I’ve only kept one bit of those soothing words in this remake - right at the end, but I have added some actual singing vocals.
