Dreadful Teeth (Beyond The Titans Demo)

Hi, I made this loop initially out of an electric guitar part I was writing for a metal project, and decided I really liked the ambient/electronic sound of the synths playing the melodic arpeggios when I put it down in MIDI for my own reference. I want to build more on this and make it a full song, but am not sure where to go from this loop into another new section without them being so jarringly different the song just becomes a "riff salad". I am open to any suggestions, feedback, or collaborative efforts to figure out what makes the most sense to come next! Loop is in 9/4 and follows an ABAC formula, 97 bpm, Key of A Major with borrowed chords from C# Harmonic minor and F minor. While I really like the idea, I feel like I poured too much into complicated music theory and now I'm struggling with creating a new part that makes sense in context.

Player of the bass, lover of melody, nerd of rhythym. I play in Arabs in Aspic, Atrox, JPH and do freelance jobs. Open for collaborations. This is where I get the ideas too far out for my bands out.

From pieces featuring odd-time signatures with quirky yet irresistibly catchy melodies and tight grooves, to funk and neo-soul inspired tracks that invite audiences to dance, Mia in Motian blends complexity with accessibility. The sextet consists of Adam Davidson on keys, Alice McDonald on vocals, Ashleigh Howell on bass, Jacobus Barnard on tenor sax, Ji Koelewyn on guitar and Mia Rowland on drums

Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Introspection. It's good to ask questions. Sometimes you can say more with less. Sometimes you just want to escape.

I am primarily a pianist, but have focused more on guitar and bass in recent years. I've played keyboards in a Genesis Tribute band and in an original prog rock band.

I went to school for sound recording technology, music composition, and piano performance.

I have been writing and recording my own material for, well, forever, but I only consider a small percentage of the work worthy enough to share. The rest I consider part of my ongoing education.

My work can be measured and mathematical, but not without emotion. I enjoy astronomy and physics, and this comes through sometimes in the music and lyrics.
