Insane Insane Insane

Ariel Zetina is a Chicago based artist, focusing in music production, deejaying, and writing. Though her music can be considered techno, she takes inspiration from Chicago house, Belizean punta, and the queer club scene worldwide. These influences can be heard on a number of EP’s, remixes, and in 2022 on her debut album Cyclorama via Local Action Records. She is a resident DJ at the legendary house club Smartbar and co runs the party/mix series Rumors. She is also a playwright, and has had her plays staged around the US. In 2022, she was nominated for Breakthrough DJ-North America by DJ Mag.

This is a fckng brutal masterpiece written and performed here acoustically by

and is truly an empathetic crash and burn account that always appears for me again and again when I am suddenly finding myself in one of the many absolute depressive mood free falls I can't seem to command or control in any meaningful way so I just give this track a once thru and hope by the end I have managed to purge all of the pain of loss and the pain of existence until the next moment that repeats this one.

Today at this 7 in the morning shitshow I remembered a girl i couldn't save from death tho i promised i would, I for some reason then made the choice to read thru a bunch of old mssgs between us bad and good all of em, and now the loss is hanging all around and over me weighing me down and making me feel like I am sinking in a bottomless abyss of helplessness and it makes me wonder why tf it's always them and never me . . . ?   

*le sigh*


Anyways, 
dunno why i am sharing all this emo bullshit but whatever . . . it is what it is and what it seems to be is a wall of sobbing text explaining something I am not fully explaining other than vague mental health introspection .
