First of all I’d like to thank Salif Keïta for giving me the opportunity to work with the original vocal stems of his classic song ‘Madan’ and giving me permission to release my own version of this song. I’ve been in love with the original for so long now and I’m so grateful I could give it my own twist. For this tune I went for the sound that I’m most known for. It’s a typical ‘Bakermat’ mix of piano, saxophone, guitar, choir vocals and bass that will be pretty recognizable. I did experiment a little too though! The drop is mostly inspired by Electro House I downloaded on blogs around 2010, and it also is one of the first times I’m using an acoustic guitar like this. All together it’s a track I loved creating and I’m really excited for people to hear this. I think it can serve as a really good summer anthem!

History:
In 1982, after the huge success of the "Pink Project", in Italy the "Medley mania" broke out. In 1983, the "Zanza Records" tried to replicate with a studio project called "Samoa Park". The song was called "Tubular Affair" and was a medley of two highly successful songs ("Tubular Bells" and "Foreign Affair") by Mike Oldfield. Loretta Ferrarato aka Barbarella was selected as a singer, while the producers were Kandinsky (Franco Rago) and Multiplay Back (Gigi Farina) who had already recorded various things for Discomagic and Durium ("Lectric Workers, Atelier Folie, Expansives and Wanexa"). The song was fairly successful and the "Samoa Park" recorded a second album "Monkey Latino", a medley between "Monkey Chop" by Dan-I and "Paris Latino" by Bandolero. In 1985 the third and final single under the label Many Records "One Night In Bangkok medley Midnight Man", produced by Tony Carrasco who built the song by marrying "One Night In Bangkok" by Murray Head with "Midnight Man" by Flash & The Pan.

His passion for beats developed at an early age. On his way to 128bpm Moussa stopped by at hip hop, but soon his love for electronic vibes grew in him. Moussa collected records early on and indulged in progressive electronic music during the 90s. Soon he realized his true love: The love for house captured him. Soon he became a true warrior of house - from the depth of his heart. A night with this charismatic DJ is a non stop flight accompanied by raging beats, mixed with balearic sounds and bumping tones. This has let to him taking the scene by storm since 2009 where it all began – not only across Europe.
 
From a collector of records and label expert he finally became what he is today: the man  in control behind the turntables. Within no time his way took him to the top of DJing. In an instant Moussa became the insider tip of the European scene - London, Paris, Zurich, Rome, Barcelona, Berlin, Milan are the cities, where he plays frequently. But even more his lust for nightlife brought Moussa to South Africa where he captivated Cape Town at Africa’s biggest LGBT festival MCQP. The Middle East knows him well for his fabulous gigs at their Party-Metropole Beyrouth and Dubai. 

His style has many faces. If you ask the musician, working on several production in a studio, what has influenced him the most in the past years, he mentions pure house music in its various faces. You can feel this in his sets: complex, thrilling, sexy and impulsive. Moussa has everything in his bag that's necessary for a night par excellence at the club. He himself describes his style simply as classic house. A kind of House that is often forgotten, but which is one of the greatest, diverse and enthusiastic in electronic music.

Flemming Dalum, also know as King of the cut, discovered his musical journey at an early age. An interest based out of curiosity for electronic synthesizer legends emerging while he grew up. With his first synth, the Korg Polysix, a lifelong passion was born. He started playing in bands in 1982, experimenting with electronics and the new world of sounds and possibilities. At the same time he started experimenting with records and discovered a natural talent for mixing and blending synths with records, creating his own unique world of sound. In mind that the CD wasn't invented, neither was the HD recorder, the heart in Flemmings set-up was a simple cassette recorder. An invention that should soon add yet another angle to his musical universe. With snappy skills and imagination, the cassette soon became his most important instrument taking him to the next level. The world of mixing. With sampler, echomachine, decks, synths and a beloved cassette recorder, the first true mixes came out of his studio already in 1983. Mixes with so much detail, soon giving him the legendary name "King of the cut". In the same year, 1983, Flemming stumbled across Koto "Chinese Revenge", a discovery that should soon lead Flemming into a brave new world matching his own, with synths and electronics being the heart of the music. The passion became strong and shortly after the Koto discovery, brought him to his first trip to Milan, Il Discotto, Discomagic, Non-Stop, Merak etc. to investigate the Italo phenomenon in detail. The following years Flemming visited the Italian distributors 11 times which later proves to be one of the major reasons to the fact that he has one of the worlds most complete collections of Italo and Disco. Through the years, the synths has been replaced with computers and equipment matching the urge for mixing. Something that has kept the true Italo spirit alive and made Flemming Dalum a legend in mixing today.
