En nuestra cuadragésima entrega tenemos el agrado de presentar a Ohrwert, tambien conocido como Arjen Schat. Arjen ha estado activo en el campo de la música electrónica bajo numerosos apodos desde finales de los 90.
Su aclamada serie “Reduct” lo hizo destacar como uno de los principales productores de dub techno de los Países Bajos, y todavía se mantiene firme con un flujo constante de lanzamientos y remixes en sellos de todo el mundo. Además del dub techno, Arjen ha estado adaptando el sonido de la 'Berlin-school' a su propia identidad sonora única, junto con su cantidad cada vez mayor de música ambiental y de drones meditativos. Esperamos lo disfruten tanto como nosotros!

"Ohrwert | NºXX II", from the album "NºXX", available at https://music.ohrwert.com/album/n-xx.

The ambiguous title "NºXX" refers to both the Latin writing for night and number twenty. Much as "Tenth" (Other Heights, 2010) was a closing album for the Reduct series 1 to 9, "NºXX" is a closing album for the Reduct series 11 to 19.

As the reference in the title to night suggests, the music is all about nocturnal dub vibes, weaving through moonlit ambient clouds.

Arjen Schat has been active in the field of electronic music under numerous monikers since the late ’90s. His much acclaimed “Reduct” series made him stand out as one of the top dub techno producers in the Netherlands, and he is still standing strong with a steady stream of releases and remixes on labels throughout the world. Besides dub techno, Arjen has been tailoring the ‘Berlin-school’ sound to his own unique sonic identity, alongside his ever expanding amount of ambient and meditative drone music.

"Spacelunch" (short. spclnch) is a Dutch electronic music label with an emphasis on the dub sound founded in Minsk in 2019 by Thomas Carmody. The key ethical principles are an individual approach and a careful selection which allows you to get the best possible from the communication with artists.

The concept of releases is dedicated to a fantastic multimedia universe. The space adventures of Spacelunch and Cat unfold in episodes of an interactive musical comic. Each of them has an original script, and they are connected by a consistent storyline.
