Since I started to work more with sampled elements in my productions recently, I remember how much I loved oldschool Hip-Hop and particularly Boom Bap beats for exactly that sound that only sampled vinyl seems to enable. This evening, I experimented with remixing the beat of the allmighty @apollobrown into a more danceable house beat. This is a very rough outline of what I came up with within the hour I sat down to experiment. The source is Apollo Brown - Black Pearls mixed with some 90s House sample CD material (check out my recent post for more on that). Fantazia The Showcase Tribute Mix Pt I

Based in Düsseldorf, Germany,  cabara crafts a distinct strain of house music that drifts between deep minimalism and atmospheric experimentation. His productions resist easy classification—at times meditative, at times driving, but always rooted in mood over mainstream appeal. With a clear sense for sonic detail and emotional nuance, cabara creates immersive tracks that feel more like environments than songs. It's house music for the curious listener—subtle, spacious, and unconcerned with trends.

Hi, i'm Dave, from Coventry, and i started djing way back in 1990, while still at school, inspired by legends Sasha and Carl Cox after listening to sets, given to me from older friends!

 I spent a lot of my time during the early 90's at the legendary club Eclipse, in Coventry, where i met lots of fantastic people including some of the finest dj's around at the time, doing a couple of sets in Marco Polo, Birmingham. I also ventured across the midlands, clubbing wise, to places including Shelleys, Institute and Coast 2 Coast.

 After 5 years, i fell out of love with the scene, seeing as it was changing and not to my liking, to be honest and in 1995 i gave up raving and djing. Kept my vinyl, though, just in case!!

 Got back into it in 2006 after listening to online radio playing a lot of oldskool, and thought i'd give it another go. Not had the confidence to play out again, since but you never know.....
