A special broadcast on Greek electronica, i.e. Hellectronica on the year Athens hosted the Olympic Games. Produced by Paul Thomas and Hermeet Chadha.

One World was set up (June 2000 to September 2006) to expand on the music championed across the specialist output on Radio 1. Former Kiss FM DJ Paul Thomas was brought on board to steer the One World ship. 

Over the years the programme has supported music from a vast array of artists including from all over the world and across the genres. We've also brought music to Radio 1 not supported anywhere else through the One World Jukebox.

Paul Thomas is a multi- Sony Award winning executive producer, editor and sound designer with more than 25 years in the industry across BBC radio and the commercial sector.

Hermeet Chadha is a Scottish radio producer, who has produced for BBC Radio One, Radio Two, Radio Six Music, BBC Radio 1Xtra and regular shows for John Peel, Annie Nightingale, Rob Da Bank, Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq among others.

A major police operation is currently underway in Mannheim city center

According to the city's police headquarters, a car has driven into a group of people. One person was killed

The incident took place near Mannheim's pedestrian zone not far from the water tower

These are horrific images in the early afternoon after the crime here in Mannheim city center. Debris everywhere, people lying on the ground, some fighting for their lives

As things stand at the moment, a vehicle apparently crashed through the "Planken", the main shopping street in Mannheim city center, at around 12:15 pm

According to information, the perpetrator is a 40-year-old German man

Mannheim has given me so much in ten years, it's a small thing. Then I said I'd just let him go. I accelerated behind him, my windows were down and I honked the whole time, I honked the whole time.
