A very special partnership indeed occured between NYC‘s Adultnapper and London‘s legendary Mr.C. Entwined in a musical romance that spans the great continents, Sycophant Slags is the outcome of this very special twinning of minds, and ‚Keep Off‘ their latest gift to the world! The release comes complete with 2 huge remixes from Reboot and The Wighnomy Brothers. Prepare for a monster 12‘‘.

In its original version ‚Keep Off‘ is a tricky, trippy slice of modern underground house. Tight, clean and superbly produced, the track becomes a vessel for the catchy vocals of Mr.C, who‘s unique flow and ‚Sky‘s The Limit‘ refrain lift the track into a stand out cut operating on its own higher level. Clearly a serious bomb from these two, we‘re sure this will be the anthem of many a long night - Sycophant Slags are here and there‘s no point in trying to hide!

German hero of our times Reboot re-interprets the track into a brooding, crunchy builder. Trademark Reboot percussion and intricate, loose and inspired phrasing steps this track up into a different groove with its freaky-funky swirling undertones. Its a heavy cut to say the least, and we‘re sure this latest slice of Reboot magic will keep you converted.

Also a couple of long-serving and legendary figures, the Wighnomy Brothers shake up the original into a dark, heavy and brooding minimal funk monster. Full of clever edits, cuts and fx, its a true ode to the brothers talents in the studio. Their ‚Detroittobrieflysort-ulle Remix‘ is really its own beast - making great use of Mr C‘s vocals yet adding their own narrative of freaked out horn sounds, pianos and pumping club ready beats.

@user-842259443 hatte schon immer eine Affinität dazu, Partys mit Musik anzutreiben. Dies geschah jedoch lange Zeit nicht hinter den Decks, sondern eher am Handy mit AUX-Kabel und dort auch vorwiegend in den Genres, Punkrock, Alternative und Metal. Erst in seinen Mitt-Zwanzigern rückte elektronische Musik mehr und mehr in seinen Fokus, was dann mit Unterstützung von @SebastianPedro in dem Kauf eines gebrauchten DJ-Controllers auf Kleinanzeigen gipfelte. Damit war der Weg zu ersten Erfahrungen im Auflegen und der Gründung der Propeller Liebes Allianz 3000 geebnet. Der Sound von Klapperrad ist geprägt von Melodien, Vocals und einer Prise Verspieltheit. Beim Auflegen fühlt er sich am meisten Zuhause mit Open-Air Sound in den Genres House, Melodic House & Techno, Afro House und Indie Dance. Auf Festivals ist Klapperrad auch gerne beim Tanzen auf dem Trancefloor anzutreffen.

This mix was recorded at this years edition of Dal Ocal, which is a 5 day gathering/mini festival/doof over New Years Eve that my friends and I put together for our friendship group in Victoria, Australia.

This set was my ode to techno. An opportunity to share my love for it. There were many sets over the week that were more psy or trance oriented, so I used that as motivation to hold down the fort for techno. 

The intention was to get everyone dropped into the groove straight away, and patiently build the energy over the 3 hours. I relish the chance to play a longer form set when it presents itself.

You'll find deep, dubby techno for the first part of the set, before moving into more pumping groovy hypnotic techno realms, with sprinklings of house to brighten the energy as I like to do.

Only a couple of hours before I was scheduled to play my younger brother Peter was seriously injured on site. It was an intense experience for us all and one that made it difficult to continue on after seeing him driven away in the ambulance, though just as he wanted most we celebrated the year in his honour.

This one was for you Peter.
