First issued in 1998 on Superstition Records, Oliver Lieb’s L.S.G. project distilled late-’90s Frankfurt techno/trance into sleek, tightly engineered club tools with arc and atmosphere. The Black Album: The Vinyl Mixes (Remastered) presents the unmixed, original vinyl versions—newly remastered by Lieb—to foreground the detail in his drum programming, weight in the low end and the aerodynamic synth work that made these tracks DJ staples. Across nine pieces you move from the brooding momentum of “The Train Of Thought 1.1” and the nimble pulse of “Go Fishing” to the sinewy churn of “Cellular,” the pressure-valve release of “The Blaxone” and “Rotation,” the taut tension of “88” and “Freakz,” and the endorphin lift of “Hellfire” and “Deep Blue.” L.S.G.’s reputation for trance without cliché has been noted for decades. Lieb’s own note on the remastering underlines the intent: fed “through the finest analogue gear… tweaked to make it sound up to date while the music still is timeless.”

Originally, this recording was supposed to take place in a stunning open-air location somewhere between Bonn and Cologne. But, of course, the German weather had other plans in early September, refusing to cooperate for any kind of outdoor celebration. So, the event was actually canceled. However, among the closer circles of the organizer, so many people were eagerly looking forward to this party weekend that they quickly decided to move the event indoors, hosting it in the organizer’s beautifully decorated house near Cologne.

At that point, I didn’t know anyone personally in this group, but after a series of charming phone calls, I agreed to play for this smaller crowd. It turned out to be the right decision, because, in hindsight, this might have been one of the most emotional gigs of my year❣️

I showed up not knowing a single soul, but by the time I finished six hours later, I was welcomed so warmly, and the people there were so passionate about music and dancing that I ended up playing for nearly six hours straight. They just didn’t want to stop dancing.

It was truly beautiful, and especially the early morning hours became very intimate and emotional. After the never-ending applause at the end of my set, a spontaneous group cuddle emerged, during which someone noticed that one of the protagonists was wearing cowboy boots—because, after all, this party was supposed to take place in a barn🙏❣️ 

And that’s how the sentence was born that summed up what a unique night it had been: 
"...mit Cowboystiefel aber ohne Squaredance"

Genox's mixture of annihilating bass drums, relentless kick rolls, penetrating screeches and illustrative melodies takes the listener to a darker state of his mind.

Konrad Rodengo (Born in Cracow, Poland), better known by his stage name Genox, is a Hardstyle DJ and record producer. Coming from Italian roots (and living there as a child), he now resides in Cracow, Poland. He's also a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts (Interior Architecture Design) in Cracow.

Genox's passion for music began at a young age. At age 8 he started to play the piano, but his taste and expertise soon evolved to span all genres; including Classical, film score, Rap, Electronic, and many forms of Rock music. As his knowledge of music grew, he became increasingly interested in the Electronic genre. More specifically Drum and Bass, Dubstep, and eventually Hardstyle. Now graduated from music school and bringing together the culmination of his knowledge of all forms of music, he has dedicated his focus and passion to bringing you the unique Genox Hardstyle that you hear today!

Genox released his first EP on impMUSIC in 2010, to later move on to Bionic Digital with the release of, 'Dream Reality / Can You Do It?'. But it was when he signed to Spoontech Records and released “Black Is…” in 2012 he found home. The years followed and Genox launched his one of a kind brand of Hardstyle. In 2016 he released 'Inhuman' which took the scene by storm with support from big artists such as B-Front, Deetox, Delete, Frequencerz, Warface, Regain and many more. 
Shortly after the success of 'Inhuman' he presented 'Power' - a blend of Raw Hardstyle elements with reversed bass which turned out to be a widely appreciated combination, permitting the track to hit the top 100 best-sellers and just like ‘Inhuman’, received an immense support. 
Deservingly earning his spot on lineups for parties like Q-Base, Rebirth Festival, Fatality Outdoor, We Are Hardstyle, Retaliate, Bass Protocol and Loudness this is only the beginning of what should be a long and successful career!
