In That Days

This song is about having recovered my hearing issues, and coming back to music, writing the very first song after several years of tinitus and hyperacusis. It's a very happy and hopeful song to me as I understood, while finding the ideas and seeing the song taking life that I was healed :)

01 Polyphonic Girl

How Come was first written and demoed a couple of years back.  It's a straightforward pop/rock song with a killer hook.  Emily really nails the vocals on this one. Broken Truths was written by Jackie Irving and me during the pandemic.  Here the entire track has been re-recorded and mastered.  It's an interesting song that stops and starts before crashing into an epic bridge.  Em handles the vocals on this new recording.  The team hopes you like it. Franny is a Budapest-based folk musician. Raised in close proximity to nature, she still draws most of her inspiration from all the natural things that surround us. In her songs, natural elements often serve as symbols, metaphors for the inner life of people. Her music is built on mystical lyrics and melancholic tunes, accompanied by fingerstyle guitar.

We pretty much started when we were kids, but we were really crap haha.. but we have been getting better and better so we thought why not just upload our music on the internet! We do all our recording in a little room in a shed which we call "The Dog Box".

Over the years the lineup has changed, at this stage M.U.S is a solo project that does collabs from time to time.

Its actually really hard to describe the soundscape of the music because it vary's so much.

The first three albums we recorded, (two of which are ancient made when we were just young lads :p), sound like murder haha.. But the stuff that's being uploaded now is recent, which should be a big YAY! For you cause you won't die from bleeding out your ears :)

Influences vary a lot too, some of my influences include: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton, Devin Townsend, Metallica, Tool, Joe Bonamassa, plus a whole bunch more!

There's probably a million chaps better out there but meh, I still love to make music, mistakes and all.

Guitar sounds from tall mountains and big lakes.

Indie pop with German lyrics. At times loosely ironic, at times profound and abysmal, but always gripping and urgent.

Over a 40 year span, I have written a countless number of songs, alone or in collaboration with others.  Here, you will find the product of those efforts with many songs recently re-recorded.  Frequently, earlier versions live here as well. All songs were written by me (RC Sterling) unless otherwise noted.  While several singers contribute to what you hear, the most common element across the material is a commitment to crafting catchy pop/rock/alternative tunes. In some instances AI programs have been used to isolate older vocal tracks when the original audio files could not be found.  All tracks have been auto tuned and pitch corrected as needed. Unfortunately, nothing could help those demos that featured my lead vocals. 😁
