Just like last year I've made a mix for our national holiday in the Netherlands: Kingsday! Wanted to do the same this year! Kingsday is basically the birthday of the king of the Netherlands, and is a national holiday where everyone dresses in orange. Loads of festivals and parties take place. During Signature ’23 and after, I’ve spent a lot of time wondering about my identity as a DJ. Signature ’23 represented me, in any way, with the music that I love and share with you. It answered the question who I am.  We’re stepping back from the Multiverse of Music for now, and moving forward to a new theme. As I’m a world traveler, and my expertise is within ecology, I like to share a big and personal theme for this year’s Signature mixes. A theme that truly shows you my identity. I’ve been rather busy exploring the coolest locations. One in particular is the jungle in Suriname, where I witnessed many amazing species and great biodiversity. I’m a big herpethology enthusiast, and I love going out to find the coolest species in the world’s most biodiverse place. The vastness of the rainforest, its endless different sounds and my experience with it created the new theme for Signature ’24: The Sound of the Rainforest!  

I once again created 3 mixes with a wide selection of tracks, created by the best DJ's and producers in the world. 3 different versions of my Signature, all dedicated to the rainforest and its inhabitants.  

This is Mix 2: the Toucan, a species of bird overlooking the forest from high canopy, able to hear all the sounds of the forest’s inhabitants, and even producing its very own to be loud and clearly heard. Mix 2 will have more of this all-round music, but will also cover some techno I've discovered over the last few months. 

Signature ’24 will be an ode to the rainforest, to my experience and will tell another tale about my identity as a DJ. I hope you like it!

The Multiverse of Music | Episode 3

Orbyte discovered electronic music back in 2018, admiring big names such as Armin van Buuren, Hardwell and David Guetta. Back then he started playing the decks before his friends, and a year later his very first time before the public!

Orignating from the area of Utrecht, the Netherlands, Orbyte dedicated his sets to the sounds of trance, as he enjoyed classical euphoric music as a kid. From small closed events then, he kept going with his passion for music, creating mixes over and over. It has resulted in his Signature compilation mixes where he celebrates his birthday with in a different theme every year. In 2024 he started his radio show called The Multiverse of Music, where he showcases his musical library, invites guests for a mix and shares his inspirations. In that same year he also discovered the love for techno.
