It’s true that when a loved leaves too soon there really is a part of you that leaves with them and a hole left in your heart and soul. I’ve had that hole and weight since losing my best friend and brother. I haven’t really been able to deal with it or talk about/express/deal with that trauma, but working on this song and revisiting a lot of the positive memories has really helped me move towards healing in some ways and remember to celebrate the good times and happiness of my best friend rather than just the associated pain and grief. Anyone who knows Abe, knows he had far more than his fair share of pain and troubles. You also know he was full of life for others, could make everyone laugh and smile, and had the potential to change the world (we still will). He was knocked down, but really was on his way up. Towards the end he had a mantra he would always say.. sometimes you just have to “WIN THE DAY”. This song is a tribute to my best friend Abe and that mantra, a remix to his favorite artist Juice Wrld “Out of Luck”. I miss you brother I wish we could kick it and catch up on everything, throw the football around, watch basketball all night, drive around freestyle, laugh about the stupidest stuff only we got, eat Culver’s, talk about the future. I wish you could hear this song and hype me up like you always did even when I didn’t deserve it lol #RIPABE #OuttaLuck #WinTheDay #RIPAMEER
