it's about this man I watched who was in the rain in the middle of a battlefield and it looked like a grotesque graveyard that had been dugged up due to the combat that happened and this man was the only one who was left alone with his enemies all dead, but also his beloved Brothers which makes him scream a blood-curling scream into the dark sky until his lungs began to tear. He is overwhelmed from a constant toture that stabs his eyes forcing him awake, his vision is vortexing as he is forced to relive how his Brothers were slain whil staring at there cold blank bloody faces. He continues to scream as he used to yell at God "Why hast thou Forsaken ME???!?" and collapses to his knees into the mud with the constant pour of rain. His head touches the ground as he bows and silently scream through torn lungs "JESUS CHRIST IS KING!!!" Even though he is completely consumed by Darkness as Demons dance on the battlefield his Faith does not Shaken!! He still holds onto Faith in the Lands of Misery and that has inspired my Spirit where I can feel a golden flame bursting through my chest so I had to write everything down and turn it into a song

A piece that depicts the mental state of being so overwhelmed that you are left pacing the floor, even when you can't scream. Overwhelming lines and heavy repetition, like the thoughts can't leave no matter how much you try to walk them out.

So who is How Granny Got Her Groove Back?

Just one “little old lady” playfully experimenting with a DAW.

A few months before my 60th birthday, I discovered that creativity has no expiration date when—with no prior experience creating music or using DAWs—I embarked on an exploratory digital music journey using GarageBand.

Little did I know that this entertaining quest would translate into a new roadmap for my life!

What began as simple curiosity quickly evolved into deep exploration of sonic landscapes through loops, samples, and layered sound design. 

My long-dormant creative fires were reignited…

How Granny Got Her Groove Back emerged as my artist name the moment i began sharing music with friends and family—a playful nod to reinvention and resilience, inspired by the film How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

Granny Grooves is the sound of that journey — lush, loop-based tracks that blend classical roots with modern digital expression.

Music has been my lifelong companion—a source of both inspiration and refuge—from school band and choir, to my decade as a dancer and years of playing piano, rhythm and melody have been essential to how I breathe and move in the world.

Now, blending my classical musical foundation with the tools of modern digital production, I embrace experimentation across diverse styles.

Each track is a new adventure, a balance of nostalgia and innovation grounded in life experience, yet always open to playful surprise—a testament to how artistry can deepen, evolve, and bloom at any stage of life.

...someday, I'll take a music lesson. 

Until then, I invite you into my different visions of what music is. I apologize in advance for not having picked a path, as I sometimes find it suffocating to stay to a particular sound.

Like life, I stumble through songs until I find my way. I truly hope you enjoy these "small journeys" I have posted. They are just a short glimpse into my absurd mind and sometimes fragile emotions. I hope that this music takes you somewhere as it did for me.

Brian L.H. Gunter is an experienced composer for media, and when in his element, Brian is blending classic scoring orchestras with modern synth and guitar. Approaching each score fresh with his own style while leaning into influences like Benjamin Wallfisch, Alan Silvestri, Nicholas Britel, Ludwig Göransson, or James Newton Howard, grounding each score with  his own twisted take on story immersive sound design.

A classically trained cellist and experienced multi-instrumentalist, Brian is proficient in guitar, bass, piano, and an assortment of other instruments and musical technology. He is an avid fan of both orchestral and popular music. Throughout college, Brian played in small ensembles, chamber groups, and symphonic orchestras, while also performing guitar and keyboards in top 40, rock, and metal bands.

Brian’s career took a significant leap with his first feature film score for "You Might Get Lost," directed by James Eaves and released in 2021 by Amber Pictures in the UK. This ambient hybrid score of synths and orchestra harkens back to Carpenter-esque genre classics, underpinning much of the film’s emotional current and gradually raising the intensity along with the protagonist's desperation. 

For Eaves' follow-up feature, "The Apocalypse Box," released in August 2024, Brian was tasked with creating a dramatically different score. Eaves requested a departure from the sparse ambience of "You Might Get Lost," aiming for a classic symphonic horror score. Drawing inspiration from Jerry Goldsmith’s "The Omen" (1976) and Fernando Velázquez’s score for "Devil" (2010), Brian crafted a
composition that is frenetic and bombastic at times yet somber and reflective at others, focusing on clear motifs that put the tension low in the viewer’s gut. All while maintaining his own flair and signature style.

In early 2024, Brian was brought on board by director Yvonne Williams of The UNcollective Productions to score her debut feature film, "White Vinegar." Yvonne chose Brian after bonding over their shared love and language for music and artists across the board. For "White Vinegar," Yvonne wanted Brian’s orchestral touch blended with elements of musical theater, inspired by Sondheim, and incorporating original songs Yvonne also wrote for the film. The blending of styles and interconnectedness of themes across Brian’s score and Yvonne’s songs created a cohesive and wildly distinctive sonic landscape. “White Vinegar” is slated for release in 2025. Just two months after wrapping “White Vinegar”, Yvonne enlisted Brian again to score a 10-minute proof of concept for her another scripts of Yvonne’s, “Rubber Room,” an intense thriller with a science fiction twist. And before Rubber Room begins production, Brian is joining Yvonne again for a third of her scripts, a holiday road-trip comedy that puts the trials of family relationships front and center.

Brian’s adaptability and creativity were put to the test with “Bloody Felt,” a horror/comedy/musical/Muppet parody by young filmmaker, Sam Torres. The project demanded a range of musical styles, from a classic children’s puppet show theme to EDM, Dubstep, and Argent Metal, alongside a classic horror score, and even a musical theater inspired piece. Brian managed to weave themes throughout each style to create chohesive musical support all within six minutes of screen time. After a public screening the film and music received overwhelmingly positive feedback, highlighting Brian’s ability to seamlessly blend disparate styles. 

While the goal is only ever to provide emotional support the film and characters demand as set by the filmmaker’s vision, Brian L.H. Gunter’s body of work exemplifies his ability to push musical boundaries and create unforgettable scores, cementing his reputation as a composer who brings a unique sonic identity to every project.

Nada Samir is a gifted German singer and songwriter hailing from Frankfurt am Main. Born on June 18th, 1996, she has created a unique sound blending elements of pop, indie pop, and R&B soul. Nurturing her passion for music from a young age, she began writing her own songs at the tender age of 13, and by 16, she was sharing her talent by posting cover songs on YouTube. Her music career took off in February 2020, with the release of her debut single "Your Promise." April 2nd, 2021 marked the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, "Heartbroken." And on January 1st, 2023, she has recently dropped her sophomore album "See You Next Life." Her music is an honest reflection of her feelings and experiences, delving into themes of depression and self-discovery.
