This is a techno set I played last year at Global Tribe gathering with some of my favourite tracks collected, mostly, through 2024. 145 minutes of psytechno, sometimes minimal, sometimes proggy, but always aiming to make the dancefloor move.
This was a very special party with some dear friends in the South of Spain. The location is run by lovely people, and they invited a bunch of friends from all over Europe to play and party.

DJ TechElf - Global Tribe 2024 (psytechno) Ap'25 live rec

Introducing Moods, my second project. Styled around euphoric throwbacks and watching Rage on Saturday mornings, blended with heavy bass lines for today's dance floors. This project is heavily inspired by my years at Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Strawberry Fields festival. As well as artists such as Willaris K, Golden Features, Spacey Space and Muska.

Of 60+ sets I recorded 2005 to date, this might be my fav. It's also the last ever mixed down on my custom touchscreen Live rig ...

Winter 2009: Booked to play Friday night @ Crooked Bayou, downtown Orlando. So I messed with some tracks. Came up with a plan something like this. 

Alas!... a power inversion in the wiring of the house we were renting wiped out my studio PC and main music drive. Samples, productions and client work in progress ... BOOM 💥 Years of laborious love.  90%+ dusted.

Nuked my career in music at the time it did. Dark days, they were. My studio was toast. Had to hustle to find work and dig out.

My laptop and live rig were unplugged and therefore protected from disaster. Awesome!  but: had to cancel the gig for a new job anyway. 

So I remember playing through these tracks, practicing it on my touchscreen setup, solo at home.  The live edits and looping ... non-linear mixing ... the entire set harmonically orchestrated.  In the flow, yo.  

For years I worked to capture the 'just right' progressive techno sound. Driven to manifest a vibe and groove conforming to an archetype wired in my head. 

Stripped down turbo charged technocolor, cinemamatic vistas. 

Paramental.

I've done lots of sets since that I like. But at the time, this was the one that  *finally* told the storyexactly the way I was itching to tell it all that time.

And I did it one long night, right after my world turned upside down.  Unforgettable.

Santy is Fluoelf, a psytrance Dj and producer from Spain. He has been spinning since 2001, being part of the local scenes in Amsterdam, Barcelona and London.

From an early age, he was heavily influenced by 60s classic and psychedelic rock. It was when he moved to Amsterdam in 2001 that he got in contact with rave culture and psychedelic trance, a complete life changing experience. Right after his first party, it took him a month to start organizing them and 3 to start mixing with the good old cdjs100. He has developed a mixing and storytelling technique that is ever changing and evolving from the very beginning to this day.

His love for underground music has kept him always on the move, constantly evolving and with an experimental edge. He started playing minimalistic psy and after that he added more recent styles to his repertory: darkprog/psygressive since 2005, twilight/forest since 2010 and psychedelic techno since 2013.

In his performances he uses a blend of these different substyles and he plays them according to the time of the day and the music that surrounds him. The result, new djsets for every new  dancefloor. Sets that evolves in waves, progressively increasing or decreasing, creating an hypnotic flow with a very personal and  psychedelic style. 

Fluoelf is part of Intermind Records and Resina Records. He has released compilations at Occulta, Parasomnia, Uroboros and Woodog. He was also producing for a few years, releasing a few tracks and collabs at Uroboros, Glitchy Tonic and Transition records.

Nowadays, he is based in London, where he travels all over Europe and worldwide, delivering his sets to a wide range of events, including: Freqs of Nature(DE), Lost Theory (ES), Modem (HR), Masters of Puppets (CZ), Symbiosis (US), Triplicity (UK), Son Libre (Fr), Solstice (NL), Transition (ES-resident), Own Spirit (ES) and many other festivals and parties.

You can find him with a fun attitude in the dancefloor and behind the decks. Expect something different every time...

TechElf is Fluoelf techno side project. It was born in 2023 after 10 years experimenting and playing at parties under the same name. It took some time, but after all, a separation was needed as the project is mature and ready to contain by itself.
TechElf style varies with the parties he performs at. It's usually very percussive and leaning to the serious side, but not necessary dark. He mainly plays psy and minimal techno, but his range is wider and can reach progressive techno and he is working on introducing dark techno and other substyles in upcoming sets. He will definitely experiment further, now that he is free from psy duties from his main and most known project.

Holly Tree, a true artist of the north island music culture, has been an integral part of many iconic parties over the years, including one of the most iconic gatherings of the north island, Carrington. With 20 + years experience, Holly Tree knows how to deliver. Combining a unique style of house, with her techno roots, Holly Tree can absolutely get a dance floor bouncing with the slightest of ease.

Friends and peeps I have done work for include Brian Transeau (BT), Bill Hamel, John Graham, Alexander 'Sasha' Coe's Involved (charity benefit tour), Danny Howells, Nick Warren, AK1200, and others.

Starting in 2005 I produced some tracks, put a few records out. I was also low-key obsessed with the DJ set as art form, using Live as a tool to harmonize, restructure and re-edit tracks together in realtime ie. non-linear mixing or 'shuffle mixing'.

At one point I developed a custom 17 inch touchscreen + hardware controller setup to do it live on stage and in the studio. Played gigs around Orlando and Central Florida for a bit.

On my sets mixes are harmonized and tracks deconstructed / reconstructed in new sequences by skipping back and forward through the waveforms. I prepare samples to drop throughout.

After mixing I do post-production, fine tune the samples and/or produce additional parts to fit. Then I master the output to make it pump and shine.

I've chilled on it in recent years other than the sets. But people ask me what I've been up to and want me to keep it coming. 

I'm still obsessed with the art of the DJ set. So here they are.

The Drummer, Grouch, Hedflux, Evil 9 and Meat Katie. 

Starting in the early 2000s leading the party collectives Circuitree, Gnomelands, Bad by Design, Bass Invaders and Synthplicity; Fat Mandy also known as Mr Faster, has been organising and playing events from Bristol, London, Kent to Manchester, in iconic venues such as SE1, Mass, The Colosseum, Black Swan, Lakota, Jacks Club, Blue Mountain, Concorde2, and Volks.

Spreading good vibes and love with a collective free party sound system and countless crew linkups. Jon has held multiple residencies in every genre of music at Sicknote, Wobbly Records the Druids and Hare and Hounds. Jon was also one of 3 professional hires by the agency WDC, beating 140 other Brighton DJs in live auditions at the Grand, just one of 10 DJ comp victory’s over the years.

Playing a solid, positive and energetic mix of techno, Drum & Bass and party tunes, over 4 decks, Fat Mandy blends layer upon layer to keep the groove flowing, the dance floor jumping and the speakers thumping.  

There is plenty in store with solo releases on Wobbly Records, a forth coming debut EP and the next edition of collaborative techno night: SHIFT.
