About Ger Zinio:

Hailing from the North West UK, Ger Zinio has been a staple in the electronic music scene since 1992. Inspired by the high-energy mixing of icons like Carl Cox and Jeremy Healy, Ger began his journey in the early rave and house scenes. By the mid-90s, his style had shifted to darker, more progressive sounds, shaped by influences such as Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Sasha, and John Digweed.

In 1999, Ger relocated to Dublin, Ireland, diving into a vibrant club scene. He became a fixture at renowned venues, including the iconic Temple Theatre, Ormonde Dublin, and the GPO in Galway. His presence earned him weekly and monthly residencies on prominent platforms such as Radio4by4 and Progressive Heaven, where he shared his evolving sound with dedicated listeners.

Today, Ger’s mixes are celebrated across the global progressive house community, with recent features on the Progressive House Classics blog. His popular podcast, Purple Haze Sessions, airs regularly on a lineup of respected internet radio stations, including Subcode, Super Progressive, KDK DJ's, Progressive House UK, Sonar Bliss Radio Belfast, RTE PULSE's Back 2 Basics, Mixpub Radio, Inferno Radio, Chicago Youth Radio, So What! Introducing my first guest mix of 2025 that aired on @essa_music's 'A Drug Called Music' show on @saturo-sounds radio last night! 

This brand new session is comprised of sumptuous new music that has recently caught my attention from promos I have received, to tracks I have stumbled upon from producers across my network, and that I've discovered via music download platforms. There is SO much great new music out there right now! 

The gorgeous opening track is my partner @djxjuk's forthcoming, debut self-release under his new producer alias and kicks things off with a powerful and emotional start before dropping waaaay into darkness then climbing in preparation for an explosive, high energy finale. You'll also hear complimentary vocal sprinklings from me performed live in the mix over three, instrumental tracks that inspired me to get creative.

AKIVA is a Los Angeles-based melodic house and techno producer, DJ, and live act whose sound is deeply rooted in the progressive house movement of the early 2000s. His music, a seamless fusion of rich melodies and driving rhythms, has earned recognition across the underground electronic scene, topping Beatport charts and securing releases on esteemed labels such as 3rd Avenue, ARRVL Records, Arey, Balkan Connection, Cafe De Anatolia, Dear Deer, DeepDownDirty, Deed Music Berlin, Gibbon Records, Hexagonal Music, ICONYC, JourneyDeep Records, KRAFTED, Layer Caked Melodic, Mystique Music, Pro B Tech, Saturo Sounds, and Sound Avenue.

AKIVA’s musical journey began with the jazz-infused basslines of Jaco Pastorius, introduced to him through his father and uncle’s record collection. Inspired by the intricate rhythms and deep grooves, he picked up an Ibanez bass guitar, laying the foundation for his understanding of music. His appreciation expanded to classical compositions, drawn to the smooth tones of the tenor and alto saxophones and the expressive string arrangements of the violin and viola.

While immersed in heavy metal and classic rock during high school, AKIVA stumbled upon electronic music on New York’s KTU radio station- a discovery that would shape his artistic path. Captivated by the sounds of progressive and goa-psytrance, he began DJing at parties, playing underground house and techno long before they gained mainstream traction. As the global electronic music scene evolved, so did his passion, leading him to refine his production skills and develop a signature sound that blends his diverse musical influences.

Today, AKIVA channels the essence of world music, jazz, classical, and early techno into his ethereal, deep, and immersive productions. His music transcends boundaries, capturing the spirit of underground dance floors while embracing the timeless melodies that define the genre.

Calxtra Carol was a fixture in our little scene.  Always there to support, chat and create art. I met her back in the NSB days over a decade ago. When she passed away earlier this year it left a hole in our hearts. As we are apt to do we filled that hole with music and love. D-Vox AKA Daniela Rhodes first touched the wheels of steel over 20 years ago, with the purchase of her Technics 1200s back in 2002. She's supported Judge Jules, Seb Fontaine, Sunscream & Brandon Block, has played at some top venues and events including MOS, Es Paradis, Logic Fest and Soundwave Fest, and has shared the bill with craft masters Matt Fax, Frankie Wah, Junior Jack, John00Fleming, MarkEG, Space Brothers, and Cristian Varella, amongst others.

From mixing hard dance in her bedroom inspired by Tiesto, and through the heavy influence of her music loving parents, Daniela competently and passionately delivers multi-genre DJ sets ranging from feel-good disco right through to the deepest, darkest techno, and has gained a wealth of experience as an artist since her music journey began.

D-Vox is also a versatile vocalist and, since her days of singing old school garage classics into her hair brush with a dream of one day becoming a singer, she has developed a unique ability to accompany instrumentals within her glowing, multi-genre sets with her impressive live vocals.

Daniela is steadily becoming recognised for her skills in the studio as well as on stage and has worked with many respected artists including Philth, JP Lantieri, Xspance, Fractal Architect, ACAY, MellowD, Monsieur Pluspetit, Sweet LA, Collate, Audioglider, J Luada, Matt Black & Chris Sterio, Somar Nomar, Findike, Dolby D, Martyn Nytram, Mogi Wa Wa, Doppelstern, Stu Chapman, Joey Fehrenbach, Col Lawton, to name a few.

Her collaborative releases span across a multitude of highly acclaimed labels including Bonzai Progressive, Superfreq, Dispatch Recs, Upon You, Morphosis, Krafted, Cinematique, RG Music, Big Speaker, Zulu Recs, Modus Vivendi Records, HoTL Records, Stripped Music, ARRVL, DeepDownDirty, Flemcy Music, and many more.

Daniela's collaborations have also seen some mighty remixes by powerhouse producers inclusing Mr.C, Nichols, David Leckenby, Focus FL, Zstimer & WRU, Simon Harris, WLSN, Nostromos, KETNO and Konvic.

Daniela hosted her live show 'D-Vox & Guests' on Bournmouth’s Afro*disiac Radio for 5 years before making the hard decision to step away from radio to focus on collaboration projects. She's also aired popular shows on Southampton's Voice FM and Germany's Progressive Beats Radio between 2015-16. Her 3-month residency at a luxury Ozen By Atmosphere resort in Maldives was a highlight in 2017, and she spent the next few years that followed laying her foundations in Ibiza and Aiya Napa, performing at top night spots with Parasol Collective, ANHP, and Voice FM.

D-Vox has made many guest appearances on nationwide radio stations, including London’s legendary LifeFM, also at Shine879 in Essex, and with BBC Radio 1 residents Krafted for their radio show streamed live from The DJ Shop in Southampton shortly after which she was invited to play at their quarterly event supporting the mighty Matt Fax alongside Krafted residents.

An amazing opportunity was then presented to D-Vox, by dj/producer Laurent Schark, to share her sound on his Live Selection Show; the worlds’ most syndicated radio show reaching out to 3 million listeners which she accepted with a very big smile. The segment featuring Daniela was unknowingly picked up by Italian cable channel Canal 7 that streamed her live set, and artist interview, out to the Mediterranean masses.

With the help of her South African soul friend DJ Sharm Pillay, D-Vox sailed into 2019 with a four-page spread in global Audiation Mag's Jan issue which included her snap on the cover. Following this she was invited by Sharm to share some melodic techno moods with her SEKSiCuLLTURE listeners on Melbourne's Kiss FM, Australia.

As well as being heavily involved in the practical side of music Daniela is also a keen writer of more than just her deep and meaningful lyrics. She copywrites for Flemcy Music, Findike Records and Dark Hooks Recordss, and provides music and event reviews, press releases, pitches, and proofreading services on request.

Daniela also a proud member of The Black Chapel Collective; a passionate group of creative artists founded by Essex based music producer Steve Mortimer, with a worldwide, multi-award winning film & live show 'Connect', addressing important global issues using contemporary music, visuals, graphics, speech samples, poetry & dance.

With a bustling music diary, an ever-evolving and dynamic catalogue of works, and with producers queuing to work with her captivating vocals, Daniela has her foot firmly on a pedal powered by her relentless passion for the music she loves. Who knows where her talents will take her as she continues to share her positively infectious, and highly creative music energy as far & wide as she can spread it.

Mark Tamsett (producing as Mark Tammo) from the South East of England, grew up listening to Soul, Funk & Electro and early Hip-Hop during his teens, but his Eureka moment came whilst at the Prestatyn Weekender in 1988. It was here where he first heard the deep, oscillating and twisted sounds of Acid House. From this moment on he decided he’d like to seek out, collect, DJ and play House music and throughout the nineties secured a few residencies in London as well as at monthly local nights and festivals too. In the noughties he set up the legendary Raise nights with a few close friends and still puts on the occasional Raise night in London and Kent, also co-hosting another local night called "Group Therapy" with James Parkes  

He also now co-hosts a monthly 3 hour radio show on the GraffPUNKS Network with Sean Harvey, called the Raise Sessions.

Mark Tammo now produces Melodic Tech sometimes with a Deep Progressive edge and Melodic Breaks out of his home studio in Kent. 

Recent tracks have included releases on SLR, Cood Music, SoundOptix, Zephyr, Abstract Tech records, Hexagonal, Magic Moments, Safe as Records, Capital Heaven, Arbor Recordings and Melodic Beats.

Established in 2009 as a trio of breakbeat DJs/Producers who were friends and ravers. When founding member George “Rican” passed away in 2021, Andrew decided to honor his best friend by continuing to play events and music streams as Paranoid Androidz. The legacy project evolved into an amazing opportunity to build a vibrant Twitch community and to spin alongside influential DJs like Darude, The Crystal Method, DJ Icey, and Keith MacKenzie. The vibe is funky, groovy, uplifting, sometimes ethereal.
