När det är intensiva dagar på jobbet, så är det rätt skönt med långledighet och att få fira påsk. Och den firades verkligen på bästa sätt, nämligen med rave på påskaftonen. Det var jättekul att få dansa och träffa alla människor så länge det varade, vilket väl var i ett par timmar. Sen ville magen annorlunda så det blev att cykla hem i ilfart. Jävla skit, rent ut sagt haha...💩

Så för att trösta mig själv lite så satte jag mig ner med en ny Dark Psy-mix. Vi lyssnade väldigt mycket på Psy Trance i början av 2000-talet. Både på förfester och när vi for iväg på raves ute i skogen. Vissa låtar demonstrerade jag även på HiFi Huset för kunder (läs unga killar) på hög volym, då det kunde smattra på rätt bra om baselementen.
Min personliga peak för de psykedeliska tonerna och beatsen var nog runt 2000-2005. Men givetvis har Psy Trance och alla dess subgenrer alltid funnits där, men möjligtvis i lite mindre skala genom åren i relation till allt annat. Det finns ju så galet mycket bra musik!  

I den här mixen så blir det tidsresor fram och tillbaka, där låtarna är från 2008 till 2022. Jag håller mig till ett konstant tempo på 153 BPM, men försöker att skifta lager mot det mörkare i mixens andra del. Här leker jag endast med ljud i övergångarna. 
Mixen är tillägnad Silent Enemy och hans låt "The Great Apocalypse" från 2009, som rundar av det hela. Det är en galet skruvad låt som verkligen får en i hypnos.

[ENGLISH] The fifth volume of the Just Another Freak series is ON!

As always, I mixed old stuff with new. Ah, how I love doing that!

This time, though, with a more linear and immersive approach — a continuous flow that goes from 145 down to 139 BPM. It’s a deep dive into sound, with subtle shifts along the way, exploring different layers of modern psytrance: from the festival heaviness of Astrix, Avalon, and Alpha Portal, to the refined grooves of Kalki, Yestermorrow, Symbolic... and even a surprising appearance by Liquid Soul remixing Paul van Dyk. Or maybe not that surprising — it’s one of my favorite projects, after all!

Expect hypnotic melodies, punchy basslines, and evolving atmospheres throughout.
