On its 25th release, the Delights label welcomes a new collaboration between funk and psych enthusiasts from different ends of the globe.

Mozaik Ses is a result of a spontaneous studio jam between members of the Tel-Aviv-based funk combo VuVuVu, the pioneering Munich legend JJ Whitefield (The Poets of Rhythm, Karl Hector & the Malcouns), and Delights head honcho, Markey Funk. Together, they've cooked two pieces of scorching eastern-flavoured groove: the hypnotic "Aralkum", named after the youngest desert on Earth, and the menacing upbeat floor-killer "Zellij".

Composition--The Eclectic Collective 
  This song began with me coming up with the bass line and accompanying guitar chords that make up that part of the rhythm section. Ken was next to add his funky drums, thus completing the rhythm section. JJ also added to the rhythm, however, with his driving clavichord, soon after. He also added the trippy theremin you hear in the break part, too. Chris added some far out guitar parts that fill in the sound throughout, too. Mark then jumped in and she some of the synth you hear in the break part, too. Stephen came along to complete the sound with his cunning banjo, as well as fiery guitar in the break part. He also produced and mixed this superbly as always for us. 
  This is another purely Eclectic Collective production, and almost of us were able to add our voices to this, except Tez and The Mysterious Decibel. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Shay Landa and Markey Funk reunited with power duo Left for another studio jam and cooked two new cuts of groovy psychsploitation. 
The A-side "Spaceman Spiff" is a banging ode to the cult comic-within-a-comic intergalactic explorer, led by Rotem Bahar (Şatellites, Itamou) on flute.
On the flip, the Company gets heavier and delivers a piece of raging fuzz-meets-synths crime funk, "Stunt Double".

Welcome to my page, my peers, associates, friends, and musical family. I'm a lifelong, multi-instrumentalist musician who records prolifically and joyfully. You'll hear me play guitar, bass (regular four string, and four and five string fretless), mandolin, banjo, keys (piano, organ, synth), lap slide, sitar, and sing on my recordings here. I've been in a few dozen bands in my life, playing everything from bluegrass, jazz, rock, jam band, reggae, funk, afrobeat, Middle Eastern, traditional Irish, singer/songwriter, pop/covers, to experimental/avant garde. 
  Since I found SoundCloud a couple years ago, I've found many talented, creative people with whom to create music. However, in the summer of '23 I formed a band called The Eclectic Collective with some of my favorite musicians I've met through here. It started as a loose collective of musicians and coalesced into a core group of musicians who find other musicians with whom we'd like to make music, then run their songs through our process, and in effect add a full band. That core of The Eclectic Collective includes Tez (Llanpsych), J.J. Terrel, Ken (K2 and the Three), Stephen (Texmex Shaman), Chris (cgmaness), and Mark (mistermark). A couple of other musicians are frequent collaborators, as well, including Artur of Surfers Like Us, and Steve Vervaet of Steve's World. More recently, we've been joined by Carl of The Beautiful Dark fame. 
  The magic of music is amplified exponentially by each person adding to it. So, we really try to add our sorcery all kinds of music from all kinds of artists. Sometimes, we keep it within the group, but a lot of what we do is collaboration with other artists. Therefore these days, 100% of what I do is collaboration, within the group or with other artists on the side.
  I, and we, are also available for hire if you have a song or lyrics and you really want to add bigger instrumentation or a band and good production to it.

I also really like and am influenced by traditional Iranian, Palestinian, Indian, Sri Lankan, Sudanese, Mauritian, Somalian, Egyptian, West African, and Syrian music. I welcome anyone who plays non-western music to contact me for a collaboration, too.
 I'm overjoyed to have found my community on SoundCloud. This is a truly unique forum where everyone is sincerely trying to build each other up. The profoundly supportive and positive SoundCloud community has really opened up an exciting new world of collaboration for me. That is the main reason I'm in the Cloud, actually, to connect with other musicians and make music that I enjoy listening to, and hopefully others do, as well. I am ALWAYS looking to collaborate with interesting musicians, mostly though BandLab, which is where I record almost exclusively. It's a solid, free digital audio workstation hub where you can share recording projects, even if it's not where you make your recordings.
  Everything I do is live instrumental, not programmed, and using no computer beyond my phone. That's not to say that I would be opposed to using that kind of tool, it's just not my preferred medium with which to paint. If you like my music, please share it. Hungarian independent record label with a wide musical spectrum ranging from obscure jazz to contemporary electronic music. Budabeats Records was founded by DJ Gandharva in 2008, now it's run by him and his long time DJ and record collector partner, Von Yodi.

I don't spend time thinking about what I create, no formulas, no recipes, no planning, no genre in mind, I just go wherever the first few notes take me, pretty much improvised; I tend to go with the first idea that pops into my head; judge for yourself how that pans out!

In order to relate to your music most listeners need to be able to pigeonhole it, if they can’t do this because you create tunes that are unique they'll likely dismiss your creativity, absorbing it years later when other musicians, believing they got there first, stumble on your sound!

No followers, no listeners, by that measurement I’ve failed miserably, however, I have succeeded  in remaining true to authentic creative self, underground in this world, #SixFeetUnderground the next!

Delights: way-out treats for psych+funk lovers.

Independent 7" label curated by Markey Funk, focusing on modern groovy and psychedelic music. All titles are limited editions of 300 copies (unless announced otherwise).

Austin-based funk fusion collective Blue Tongue’s music is served with equal parts funk, psych and electrifying live performances. Now for the average band, “electrifying” means solid musical chops and maybe a few jumps. But if you’re irrepressible Blue Tongue frontman Tre Pham (guitar, vocals), it also includes actual gymnastics of the backflip and splits nature. The rhythm section boasts drummer Jake Young’s mastery of jazz influenced groove,  and Rowan Smoot’s muscular slap bass artistry. The ensemble is completed with Savannah Thieme’s buoyant synth textures, the hilariously virtuoisic David Thal on trumpet and effortlessly smooth Jeffrey Stevenson on saxophone, and finally the additional colors of guitarist Lee Chavez, now you have a Show.

With live shows this dynamic, it’s no surprise that opportunities abound in the form of festivals, national tours and club shows opening for beloved acts like Ghost Funk Orchestra (thrice), Giacomo Turra, Here Come the Mummies, and Snarky Puppy spin off band Ghost Note. In fact, a recent west coast tour culminated in a stellar official performance at NAMM (the popular music industry convention) in Anaheim, and a recent performance included an after party show immediately following Vulfpeck at Stubb’s.

The band’s sonic exploration is supported by an impressive lineup of endorsements, including ADV-Sound, Marco Bass Guitars, and Tsakalis Audioworks. But Blue Tongue's collaboration with an Austin-based hot sauce company might be their most unique partnership yet, boasting a limited edition salsa with local salsa masters, Fantastic Fuego, with whom they produced a blue colored hot sauce called ‘Blumitas’ based on the garlic, serrano, habanero, corn and basil Chilean dish called Humitas.”

Spunky and self-sufficient, the band has their own recording studio where Pham taught himself production and mixing, so they could keep creating at will on a modest budget. This kind of magnetic tenacity shines through not just in Blue Tongue’s music, but in their overall approach in navigating their steady ascension. As the indefatigable Pham sums up, "Through enough effects pedals, creatine, and sheer determination, anything is possible."
With influences spanning from psychedelic arena rock, to the funk grooves of disco and soul, the final result is something that is always raw, rhythmic, and powerful.

Dj CD-Wexler ist im Bereich des progressiven Sounds unterwegs, wobei er gerne zwischen leicht angehauchten Offbeat bis hin zum Psy-Prog pendelt. Seine Sets sind immer eine Art von Geschichten, die er mit den Partyvolk durchleben möchte, wobei man sich einfach mal fallen lassen kann. Mit diesem Sound war er schon auf einigen Open Airs wie die Antaris, Second Horizon, Huitaka, Digedax l – lV sowie in fast allen Clubs in Berlin unterwegs. Er spielte z.b. bei der Odysee, Frühlingszaubertraum, November Ritual, Konkanifestival und diverse male auf der Mystic Friday / Rose.Und als Mitbegründer und Veranstalter der Digedax, treibt er hier und dort auch noch sein Unwesen.

Pandu ist Dj und Veranstalter aus Berlin. Er spielt gern mit den Facettenreichen Genres des Psychedelic Trance. Er mag es mit einer Mischung aus allem, eine Reise zu kreieren die einen eintauchen lässt. Getreu dem Motto: – Trance in & Dance out – tut er dies sowohl in sein Psytrance als auch Chill`sets. Er spielte unter anderen auf dem Antaris Festival, Tabularasa Festival, Gaggalacka Festival, Mystic Friday, November Ritual oder auf der Odyssee. Des weiteren gestaltet er seit vielen Jahren eine eigene Partyreihe mit den - Digedax & Return of the Sun -  
Seit Winter 2018 ist er fester Bestandteil des Gaggalacka e.V. und freut sich über die Herzliche Aufnahme ins Gaggalacka Team.
