The Song of Shahmaran: Queen of Hidden Wisdom
At the ends of the earth, where the mountains curve like the spines of a sleeping dragon, beneath the city of Tarsus, lived Shahmaran, half-woman, half-serpent, guardian of the secrets of the underworld. Her body undulated like a river of stars, and her eyes held the memory of the ancient gods.
The Encounter
A young man named Cemşab, curious and hungry for knowledge, accidentally fell into a crevice in the forest. There he found a hidden garden, lit by phosphorescent mushrooms and trees that whispered in forgotten languages. In the center, Shahmaran watched him.
“Do not fear,” she said, “there is no death here, only truth.”
For years, Cemşab lived with her, learning the languages ​​of serpents, the cycles of the cosmos, and the art of healing with words.
The Betrayal
But the outside world claimed Cemşab. Upon his return, he was captured by the king, who was suffering from an incurable illness. The kingdom's wise men said that only Shahmaran's flesh could heal the monarch.
Cemşab, torn by loyalty and fear, revealed the hiding place of the snake queen. Shahmaran was captured.
Before dying, he uttered:
"Whoever drinks my blood without wisdom will be devoured by his own ignorance."
The Transformation
The king died instantly. But Cemşab, who had drunk only one of Shahmaran's tears, became the new guardian of hidden knowledge. His skin became scaly, his words healed, and his gaze pierced time.
