Soledrifter returns to Papa Records with a quirky but infectious deep house groove.

‘Too Loud’ features Canadian vocalist Alexandra Morrison and is set to make waves and spice up global dance-floors in Summer 24.

With an approach to dance beats that is all his own, the man known as Soledrifter aka Dmitry Meshcheryakov makes music that stirs the spirit to move. After immigrating from Moscow, Russia to Halifax, Canada, he began churning out tracks in his basement beat kitchen. It wasn't long before Dmitry's work started pricking up ears throughout the house music industry. Releasing ‘Halifax Explosion’ EP on Chicago's D'lectable Recordings in 2006 would lead to the track "Words" being included on DJ Heather's "House of Om" Mix for OM Records the same year.

Soledrifter's mighty roster of remixes and originals has seen releases on esteem labels as Madhouse, Hed Kandi, Simma Black, Salted Music, Large, King Street Sound, Peppermint Jam Records and of course our very own Papa Records.

Papa Records are back, back with a bang, with a quality 2nd release for 2025 as we present the Diplomats Of Soul featuring Incognito & Vanessa Haynes – Sweet Power Your Embrace, the Terry Hunter & Emmaculate Remixes.

Sweet Power Your Embrace is, of course, James Mason's seminal Jazz-Funk masterpiece. It was originally recorded in 1977 for his debut solo album, Rhythm Of Life, released on New York independent label Chiaroscuro.
James Mason was a guitarist and keyboardist who, in the late 1970s, was a member of Roy Ayers’ band, Ubiquity, appearing on the 1977 album Lifeline and prominently on the showcase cut Running Away.

Mike Allin & Ralph Tee, aka Diplomats Of Soul, teamed up with Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick and his legendary enterprise, Incognito, to rework this classic in 2015. The gorgeous interpretation was topped off with the powerful, soulful vocals of chanteuse Vanessa Haynes and was released on Ralph’s long-standing & hugely respected Expansion Records.

Mirror Ball Recordings label owners and all-around good guys Terry Hunter and Eric ‘Emmaculate’ Welton join the party with a stunning set of remixes that honour the musicality of the original while adding that Chicago bump and groove for the dance floor.

Papa Records are back with a 3rd release for 2025 as we present the Diplomats Of Soul featuring Incognito & Vanessa Haynes – "Never Gonna Fall in Love Again (Like I Fell in Love With You)" and the Micky More & Andy Tee Remixes.

"Never Gonna Fall in Love Again (Like I Fell in Love With You)" is a tender love song written & performed by Paul Anka, originally released on his album “The Painter” in 1975. Paul Anka, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter, was a prolific artist who gained fame in the 1950s and sustained his popularity through the decades. His ability to craft memorable melodies and heartfelt lyrics contributed to his lasting legacy in the music industry.

Mike Allin & Ralph Tee, aka Diplomats Of Soul, teamed up with Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick and his legendary enterprise, Incognito, to rework this Soul classic in 2020. The gorgeous interpretation was topped off with the soulful vocals of chanteuse Vanessa Haynes and was released on Ralph’s long-standing & hugely respected Expansion Records.

Michele Mingo and Andrea Tonici, better known as Micky More & Andy Tee, are elite house music producers. Their extensive catalogue of remixes features iconic artists such as Incognito, Joey Negro, Miguel Migs, Jocelyn Brown, Barbara Tucker, Richard Earnshaw, and more. As founders and owners of the GROOVE CULTURE brand, they helm a record label synonymous with high-quality dance music, consistently topping the charts on Traxsource and other prominent platforms. They are the only Italian artists to have released three singles and a remix with Glitterbox, the renowned label and event series from Defected's London-based group. Back in 2020, our sister label Foliage Records dropped the stunning “Or Stay Alive”  by Daniel Rateuke and Ursula Rucker. Now in 2025, Papa Records is thrilled to present a fresh remix from Mike Newman, aka N.W.N.

German producer Daniel Rateuke is known for his deep, tribal Afro house sound, combining rhythmic percussion and atmospheric melodies. He's released on top labels like Enormous Tunes and MoBlack, earning acclaim for his organic grooves.

Philadelphia’s Ursula Rucker is a powerhouse spoken word artist, blending hip-hop, jazz, and soul to tackle themes of love, race, and justice. She's worked with The Roots, 4hero, and Louie Vega, leaving a lasting mark on music and poetry.

Hungarian producer Mike Newman (N.W.N.) is a tech house heavyweight, with releases on Toolroom, Ministry of Sound, and Defected. His dynamic sound, mixing nu-disco, deep house, and big room vibes, has gained support from Mark Knight and Roger Sanchez.

Papa Records brings some freaky summer heat with a fresh spin on a '90s R&B classic — Adina Howard’s iconic debut single "Freak Like Me" remixed by Dutch duo Fouk.

Originally released in 1995, "Freak Like Me" was a bold statement of female empowerment, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning platinum status. With its sultry vocals, sexually confident lyrics, and samples from Bootsy Collins and Sly & the Family Stone, the track helped redefine gender norms in R&B and paved the way for artists like Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown. Directed by Hype Williams, the video only amplified its fearless energy.
