As 2024 draws to a close, we hand over controls of In The Basement to some very special guest DJs for our final shows of the year. This week we’re honoured to host a true pioneer of the underground in the shape of Phil Kieran.

A globally respected DJ and producer, Phil has been at the forefront of electronic music for decades, with standout releases on labels like Hotflush, Cocoon, and his own Phil Kieran Recordings which just hit a milestone of release number 40 this week with the release of Phil’s new Artificial Analogue record.

He’s also the mastermind behind Belfast’s legendary Leatherette night, a hub for cutting-edge club culture that has been billed as a trip through electronic music that defined the future .
